So Town can also lie about their roles and mislead the BO.
And people that don't claim anything at all or avoid people will be suspected as BOs first.
Adding to that, since there is no investigate, Kazuha, Agasa and Haibara can prove themselves even better now. Problem would only be Vermouth for Kazuha and Agasa. That's why detecting Vermouth and then Anokata is very important for the town.
BO actually doesn't have any means to prove themselves to the town, besides vermy and Anokata. Because once a BO with "BOness" is suspected and interrogated, it's over for him. Especially when Kir doesn't have the "BOness" anymore.
And if Kir doesn't have "BOness", then in case Akai get's interrogated, the BO get's a easy APTXing, even if Akai managed to not be lynched.
Town that get's slandered also doesn't have much of a chance to not get lynched (if not proven before by other means). And since there is only slander 1, it's most likely used to protect the BO themselves, so a town won't be slandered much (depends on the BO constellation).
Protect/Healers can't be found out by the BO either, without the BO infiltrating the town and getting information, since there is no investigate. Sure, the healers could contact a BO accidentally, but they actually don't need to contact anyone if they don't want to. And interrogate/follow will make them look innocent too, in case someone doubts them.
That's why, IMO, the BO also got nerved enough so that Kir doesn't need the be "not BO"
Btw. what is Anokatas observe? It's not stated if it's fixed or random or whatever.
Because if it's random result, the observe can figure out Anokata. And when Vermy is dead or detected not in game, observe on teens will prove them to some degree too.

but if we get a good number of players, I don't see Spy List being a whole threat. That aside, I can make the list bigger too, to tone its power down a bit.
