As the sun begins to rise after you first night in the maze, you hear someone scream, followed by a rustling noise and then a thud.

If you're on the Red Team, you get a close-up view of all of the action.

First, a package was dropped next to Pokemon Trainer, which he quickly opened to find a pokeball and a pokedex just for him. Shortly after this, though, he was electrocuted with a thundershock that came from seemingly nowhere.

A moment later, in a horrible event completely unrelated to the electrocution, Pokemon Trainer accidentally hits a trap in the maze and falls through a pit in the floor. He's gone, and nobody is able to distinguish his true identity.

Moments later, Dr. Mario appears from nowhere and tries to use Yoshi as a horse, but is stopped abruptly when Yoshi is grabbed by some vines and held securely in place against a hedge wall.

Somewhere else in the maze, a boomerang nearly hits the Ice Climbers in the head, but they dodge at the last second.

DAY ONE BEGINS!
