Actually one thing that I found strange was having all the Japanese females listed with their family name first but leaving the American females standard. Any reason behind that other than making me work to find my person?

I wonder if other countries localize foreign names?  Probably a matter of preference for most.  Then there's the "not-really-last-name-but-Americans-make-it-your-last-name" names.....
