Trade Wi-fi with mangaluva. Then she trades back your pokemon to your SoulSilver version. It's the only solution I can think off besides offering money to people in the street for a DS borrow

Oops, I meant 160.
I knew everyone from 1st Gen. When the 2nd Gen came out, I didn't bother to learn the new ones, but the starters + evolutions were impossible to me not to learn them

I might be wrong but that looks more like prof. Elm, but the your theory seems very likely. I can recognise and name most of the pokemon
