I've never tried the manga. However I've watched the anime and I got tired after 60 episodes, guess it just doesn't appeal to me.

Actually, Aoyama was like... *releases one chapter* *break* *releases two chapters* *breakx2* during the Hound of Beikaville, no? (Not really accurate but just an example

). I think its better to wait one shot while having to see a chapter and then not again. A real cliff hanger sucks.
