It does feel like Fairy Tail jumped the shark after the timeskip.

I never felt like FT drama mattered in the first place, I don't think it's really a timeskip change.

That "twist" is reminiscent of when Katekyo Hitman Reborn became increasingly violent and bloody during its last arc (not too long after the anime ended).

Dunno if it's the translation's fault, but some of the lines in the latest chapter were a bit awkward. That, or maybe it's because the majority of it was "generic inspirational speech about the future".

If breaking the gates does in fact mean the battle was won, then this was very anticlimactic. If the dragons still need to be defeated, I just hope it won't drag.

Natsu beat both Future Rogue (Well I dont think he stays down.. Hasn´t gone Dragon Force yet) and a Mother Dragon and now that I reread it the dragon fell on the gate?

Well FT never was anything more than average and enjoyable series to read but the GMG arc was terribad. the last 6 chapters seem to be back on track though with the characters going missions etc and mostly episodic chapters

The new arc does have promise atm though _AS_LONG_AS_GRAYS_TEACHER_STAYS_DEAD_

Hopefully the anime team puts a little bit more effort into it this time..
The latest chapter would have been perfect FT chapter if it werent for that erza fanservice/torture stuff still there. Last chapter had like ½ of the pages used on that........
