I'm just curious how many people here have actually read the whole manga? I did, and i found the ending to be pretty... un-ending ish. Has their on-going journey been mentioned in subsequent xxxholic mangas? Anyone know?
I have finished reading Tsubasa, and the plot twists are amazing. But not much else besides that.
The on-going journey's details have not been mentioned in xxxholic, but there was a recent non-story-plot chapter (one of them between 195-205) that dealt with Shaoran visiting Watanuki without Sakura. The chapter was about Watanuki wanted to find a signature (like Yuuko with her butterfly).
Talking about Tsubasa in the other thread reminded me, I've been wanting a word with CLAMP for:
A) Stretching out Holic instead of ending it when the climax happened, which could have been fine only nothing else ever happened except increasingly awkward and forced foreshadowing, and then
B) Deciding they were bored of it (their own fault for stretching it out so long) and not giving it a proper ending at all.
WHAT. THE. HELL.
Holic was like their best series ever except maybe CCS. Are they really so ADD that they can't finish anything they start, ever?

I dunno about the last couple of volume yet. I do know XXXholic had more natural character development.
Spoiler: no specifics, but being cautious
Well, the artwork contunues to be stunning, but the character development continues to be limited to Watanuki being more and more obviously like Yuuko-san, kinda to the point where it gets obnoxious. And the "conclusion" of his relationships with Doumeki and Himawari, which was like, a really important part of his character development, is basically ignored. D:
Mokona gets the shaft, too.

After replying to a different thread, I found this.
I haven't really read Holic but I've been meaning to. *Must pick it up when I have time *
Anyways, I really liked the TRC manga but the ending was disspointing
I mean seriously it ended with
Spoiler:
'Syaoran', Fay, Kurogane and Mokona starting a new journey and 'Syaoran' and 'Sakura' telling each other that their names were really Tsubasa.
Spoiler:
*thought the "Tsubasa" thing was kinda cute* :x

Yeah it was cute, but don't you think they could have done a better ending.
Well, yeah, I was just saying that that was one of the things about the ending that I thought actually was cute.
Strictly speaking, I didn't think the ending itself was absolutely awful (though it was stupidly rushed), but the stuff that came before it didn't lead up to or justify it at all, so I couldn't really be emotionally affected by it.
Plus, Kurogane just flat-out got ignored in those last volumes. D:

Yeah, but I honestly don't like the fact that they're going on another journey.

Spoiler:
The thing that irritated me about that wasn't the fact that they left on another journey, but the fact that they left Sakura behind. Syaoran's self-righteousness was really annoying.
Are you a Kuro-pyon fan?
I liked all of them, but Kurogane is awesome, and the story got so focused on the other three (five, whatever) near the end that he kinda got left in the dust.
I especially like him because he's sort of the voice of reason during the whole journey, rather than continually screwing it up thanks to being a drama queen like the other three often did.

Hmmm. that too. but she did have a reason why she has to stay.(I honestly forgot)

Yeah. The story got too focused on the others near the end, that even though he had some few arcs for him before, it wouldn't suffice.
