No actually the real Gildarts is not yet around and the one that saved Cana is Jellal in disguise. Then we later found out that Jellal is actually Gildarts' son which also makes him Cana's brother. :V

Why her? Out of all the Fairy Tail members that can learn the spell, why give it to the one who isn't getting much screen time? It's one of the strongest spells of their guild after all. I know that it's because of the plot that is happening in the arc right now but still...

gildarts will pawn Bluenote so there is 3 kin left. i`m guessing Gray will pawn Ul and Erza pawn the spiky guy. The last one will get pawn by Fried and Bixlow
anyway I just hope Luxus make an appearance and kick Hades' ass. that would be awesome

I don't know if anyone in the guild looks like him, I don't know if Macao Conbalt's son Romeo is actually a member of the Guild.
Weird musing: Could he be a younger Zeref? (the hair is similar and he may be from the past, since all the arcs are related to some character's past - but the eyes are different
similar clothes to Natsu? 
I hope Cana makes up for her pathetic plan to get Gildarts attention 
And:
Jellal! - I don't really believe that Hiro Mashima could just end a recurring character (who has appeared in every arc so far) by 'life in prison/death sentence'    sounds lame to me~
