First of all I hope this is the right board :-X

So, I've seen and heard about some other The Sims players besides me in this forum...so I've always why we don't a Sims 2 or 3 thread for all us
to discuss....dunno, all the stuff we do on our games, challenges we have accepted, unique stuff we have downloaded or whatever we could have done
that might be interesting in our games....so today I finally decided to make this thread :)

so...lemme start the discussion, has anybody here already seen or heard how does the Sims 3 expansion pack Seasons is? (except from the trailers)

Please,
It's a nice game, where else do you learn that playing with fire and removing the stairs from the pool lead to immediate death?
The only thing that bugs me is that you actually can't have a graveyard in your backyard :D

Well I did some serious games a while back but that's in the past now :)

Jeppers, ever since the Sims 2 the game totally died for me. They can't even go two days without food now -.-
The addons for the first were kinda okay but I never needed anything more than Sims 1 without expansions

WineHQ says it runs fine :)
Maybe I should try it out ^^

Ever try a virtual computer? I believe you will find Virtualbox works on linux and with that you can create a virtual windows

Not sure how you might feel about what some might call "cheating". I myself call it changing the rule to have fun. To each their own. Anyway if interested in "changing the rules in Sims 3 and 2" check these sites

Mod the Sims

I honestly can't get into the Sims 2 nor 3.
The Sims Superstar was the last Sims I truly loved.

Played Sims 1. Whenever I got bored I just burned them.
Also all the children got sent to military school or whatever it was that happened whenever they got nasty grades.

@sstimson:
I have virtual machines running in KVM mode (which only works good under qemu-kvm with the appropriate kernel modules loaded)
And no, running a game in a VM isn't the way to go. Wine is the only way I could accept, even thought I would prefer a native installer but okay.

I run several games under wine, School Days, Steins;Gate, World of Warcraft, Diablo III.

Since I don't own a copy of any new Sims game I can't really test it. As I posted before the WineHQ says it runs perfectly. I have to see how it really runs because they test it under Ubuntu which I don't use :P
