Re: Halo 3
I have never played Halo
... but from my point of view H3 was kinda over-rated, I saw a friend playing it and wasn't completely blown away. Though then again I am not that much of a FPS kinda person... I like some but most are just to boring (and have the same old same old of every shoot-em-up). Though to make this post worth reading, do you know the game Halo was a prequel to?

Re: Halo 3
Yuppers, on the 360. Idk, I guess I am more a fighter game kinda person, or maybe racing or rythem (I own at DDR btw... and love Guitar Hero... and hate Rock Band). Anyways, the thing I find most odd is this topic isn't flooded by now, and so the only conclusion I can make is that most people didn't like Halo. That, or no one has found this topic yet. Anyways, to keep this topic alive since I hate dead topics, is anyone going to see the Halo movie when it comes out? I, personally am looking forward to it since Peter Jackson is the man (director of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy). I am also looking forward to the WoW movie even though I have never played the game and have no idea what the story of it is (I played WC2/3 for a little while, but don't remember any real specifics).la123 wrote: I didn't know anything about halo. I guess I agree with EpoxElypse for once in saying that when you start a topic or reply to a post you should try and make it four things:
1: Not TOO long but also not too short.
2: Appeasing to the eye (posts that have no structure sometimes hurt).
3: Explain (completely if possible) exactly what you are trying to say.
4: Personal/Have Good Voice, so that other users can learn about you and not be bored while reading your post/reply.
An example of this can be my post I guess. I used structure (notice how I space between thoughts), explained what I was thinking with a little personal information and a strong voice, but not in one line or an entire page. You don't have to follow this of course, and am only posting in hopes of helping someone with constructive criticism and guidance.

I love Halo 3 but its not that different from Halo 2 just new guns, new places, and new system. Halo is only good online.

Re: Halo 3
I have played Halo(just couldnt remember if it was the first one or the second ^^) but yeah Halo is such a good game. I mainly love FPS, 3PS, strategy and some adventure games(such as Broken Sword if you ever heard of that game). I would love to play Halo 3 someday and see what changes have they make and the storyline. Btw, Codename, in my opinion COD4 and from what i've heard is nothing special. I, personally and others do say so too believe that COD2 is far better than COD4. The only difference why COD4 pawns COD2 are for it's graphics. Apart from that COD4 sucks as multiplayer from what i've heard. In my opinion COD4 would be good played as single player and nothing else.
Other games considered to be as good are the following: Quake 3 Arena(although it's very old quake 3 is much better than quake 4), Doom1,2,3, Warcraft, Starcraft, Dawn of war and much more.

Re: Halo 3
To be honest, the first halo was my favourite. The gameplay was, in my opinion, superior to halo 2 and 3. It's downside was probably the lack of XBL, still, I never really liked to play FPS over the internet because of the lag so it wasn't really much of a downside for me. Also, halo felt like it was more 'skill-sided' than halo 2 and 3.Moreover, there's a few features of halo 3 which I outright dislike, such as sniper recoil. Despite that, halo 3 is definitely a good FPS.
