I really like the new tune and concur that the single has not yet shown its face. We'll probably hear about it within a couple of weeks. I'll be very interested to get the full translation of this song, because from what I can make out, it seems like an interesting one. More hype to come!

Hot on the heels of the recent reveal for "Exit To The Sun", we now have our first look at yet another new song entitled "NO EXCUSE". The song is being used as the theme to a Smirnoff Ice commercial in Japan beginning today. There is currently no announcement as to whether the song is a B-side or a song on their upcoming album. Expect more information shortly!

[font=Segoe UI]Today, all of the info you could ever want about the upcoming B'z activities has been revealed! In the morning newspapers circulating in Japan, we have official word on the title of the 51st single, the 19th studio album, the upcoming 2015 tour, and more!

The 51st single, entitled "Uchouten", will be released on January 14th, 2015! The official website has been updated with a sample in pop-up form here. The B-side will be "Endless Summer", the lead song that you may have heard during the final portion of the 25th anniversary tour B'z LIVE-GYM Pleasure 2013 -ENDLESS SUMMER-. Those that pre-order in-store will receive a B2-sized poster as well. The song itself will serve as the theme to the television drama Gakkou no Kaidan when it airs in January.

Even better and more unexpectedly, the single's release will come in both CD and CD+DVD editions, with the latter containing NINE SONGS that were performed during B'z Special LIVE at EX THEATER ROPPONGI. This makes it by far the biggest bonus incentive to be packaged with a B'z single to date, in addition to the songs chosen being rarities that are not common live choices, such as "BANZAI", "Yasei no ENERGY", "Kuroi Seishun", "ONE ON ONE", and "SKIN".

We also now have confirmation that the band's 2015 studio album will be titled EPIC DAY and should contain previously revealed songs "Exit To The Sun" and "NO EXCUSE". Accordingly, the band's 2015 tour will be B'z LIVE-GYM 2015 -EPIC NIGHT- and will get started in March.[/font]

That's probably the best bonus DVD I've ever seen on a single! It's great that they included most of the lesser known songs performed in that live, though I would have liked to see Shoudou and the unreleased song included instead of Konya Tsuki no Mieru Oka ni and Ichibu to Zenbu (both of which are already staples of LIVE-GYM concerts). I'm surprised Endless Summer is a B-side, which usually means it won't appear on album.

As for the EPIC DAY and EPIC NIGHT titles, somehow I have a feeling that Shane Gaalaas suggested the titles

I have an inkling that the EPIC DAY album will also have a bonus DVD that... will include the remaining 10 performances from the SPECIAL LIVE show. That would really top off these releases as perfect as far as value goes. That way, nothing would be left out and we'd have yet another full specialty show to keep in the archives.

As a bonus: B'z will be performing as part of the 2015 Music Station Super Live on December 26th! The last time they were on for a Super Live, they performed Ai no Bakudan and Ichibu to Zenbu together. This time, I suspect we'll get at least Uchouten but... possibly another with it?

"Uchouten" is now airing on Japanese radio and it is some wild, wild stuff. This is going to be an instant live hit for sure. The guitar is really something else, and as far as B'z songs go, there's definitely nothing else like it in the catalogue. Really looking forward to the single release!

Hmmmmm... Unfortunately, there's no expeditious way to do that at the moment. Maybe we can look into implementing something like that sometime. Would be helpful for sure.

Hmm, I'm not sure about the other songs being included on the EPIC DAY album. That would be a strange way of splitting a concert into two halves. Perhaps they'll choose just a couple of the remaining songs instead of all 10, and dedicate the rest of the album to a making-of or music videos.

As for the Music Station appearance, it could be literally any song from their huge catalogue (anything but ultra soul or juice, please)

I suspect the bonus cover will be a nice slipcover type, but I don't think that's been confirmed just yet. B'z will also be performing on CDTV on December 31st and on next week's Music Station special, so there's definitely a lot of hype to come. We'll have the very first performance of Uchouten courtesy of that in just a few days.
