On the other hand, we did get X on the DVD. They did something similar for LIVE-GYM 2011 too, Hito Shizuku no Anata was cut from the Dome tour. It's funny how they decide to cut album tracks which usually have little chance of reappearing outside of the album's respective tour setlist.

Ichibu to Zenbu - there was this one version in B'z Weekly - I loved it :)
What was is called - it wasn't the original version. It was slower... I want to hear the full version of that live :)

Speaking of The 7th Blues, 1994 is widely regarded by the band as their 'Dark Era' due to the fact that they made very few public appearances since they were touring for most of the year. It's definitely an interesting era in their career, and one that's quite mysterious also. In comparison, their 1995 LIVE-GYM was the complete polar opposite, back to the B'z that most people were familiar with.

I'm not sure about a nationwide Ballad tour, but a few dates would work very well especially in smaller intimate venues. I actually prefer Don't Wanna Lie -Ballad Version- more than the original version. Some other ballads I enjoy are GUITAR wa Naiteiru, Itoshii Hito yo Good Night..., Doushite mo Kimi wo Ushinaitakunai, farewell song, Tokyo, Kienai Niji, ONE, RING, Eien no Tsubasa, Itsuka Mata Koko de, PRAY.

Hmmmm... Speaking of Hito Shizuku no Anata, I once had a bootleg recording from the pre-dome shows... Wonder if I still have it somewhere. It sounded really good, but B'z has always been very mindful of the pacing of their shows and how something fits into the whole, so that's probably why it got the axe. Great tune, though!

The 7th Blues was meant to weed out the Fandom - a lot of people were just going with the Hype and Tak and Koshi decided to to something about it. They released "The 7th Blues" --- saying "to get rid of" sounds rather harsh --- to get a more selective Fanbase.
I love that album - it's one of my all-time favorites thought ;)
Wouldn't mind a whole tour regarding that.

I think we currently only have four performances from both of the 9th Blues tours: BLOWIN' from Part1, Don't Leave Me from Part2, MOTEL from Part2, and Odekake Shimasho from Part1 (this last one is quite wild, too). Hopefully someday we'll see these in full as they seemed like quite good shows. I especially love MOTEL from it.

Interestingly, when talking with a friend about whether the album would come out before the 2015 tour began, it was brought to my attention that The 9th Blues Part 1 started a month before The 7th Blues came out.

Hoping for a single in early 2015, then an album 1-2 months later which would coincide nicely with the start of the tour.

If I recall, Tak "kinda-sorta" suggested to expect the single pre-tour, and then the tour and (then?) the album--what this may mean is the album will come out very early into the tour or something, ala The 7th Blues situation. It could be the same week the tour starts, even. I have a really good feeling about this tour and 2015's offerings. The four new songs from XXV were all great and touched on some really interesting musical directions.

Someday, we'll hopefully have all of the LIVE-GYM pages on the wiki filled out. I'm just glad all of the venues, dates, and setlists are all normalized and available, at least, but expanding on all that with more detailed info will be nice when we get there.

Of special note is that in the 2003 BIG MACHINE tour, they had a 7th Blues corner dedicated to songs from that period (Don't Leave Me, MOTEL, Himitsu na Futari).

These are the other The 7th Blues era songs performed in different tours available on home video:

JAP THE RIPPER
 • LIVE RIPPER
 • "BUZZ!!" THE MOVIE
 • B'z LIVE-GYM 2001 -ELEVEN-
Don't Leave Me
 • "BUZZ!!" THE MOVIE
 • B'z The Best "ULTRA Pleasure" [Bonus Disc]: LIVE-GYM 2003 "BIG MACHINE"
 • B'z LIVE-GYM Pleasure 2008 -GLORY DAYS-
LOVE IS DEAD
 • B'z LIVE-GYM 2010 "Ain't No Magic" at TOKYO DOME
Haru
 • B'z SHOWCASE 2007 -19- at Zepp Tokyo
Odekake Shimasho
 • B'z SHOWCASE 2007 -19- at Zepp Tokyo
Strings of My Soul
 • Strings Of My Soul [Bonus Disc]: LIVE-GYM '93 "RUN"
Mannequin Village (from Don't Leave Me single)
 • B'z LIVE-GYM 2005 -CIRCLE OF ROCK-

My copy of "My Lonely Town" Single arrived yesterday. The video is pure hype!
I just needed the Ballad Version of Ichbu to Zenbu - I love that version. The original is hype to but the ballad version has this special feeling to it ,)

It's my dream to get that one on DVD someday. The bits we have now are so good. Unfortunately, I still cannot find anyone with those iTunes exclusive videos from the Best Pleasure II release. We got pretty close for a while but it didn't pan out.

Most of all, I always wanted to see "BIG MACHINE" live (the song itself, of course). That is one of my favorite album tracks; it's got everything you could want in there.

If the 25th anniversary 3 DVD releases (2001 ELEVEN, 2005 CIRCLE OF LIFE, 2008 ACTION) are any indication, I think we can expect 2003 BIG MACHINE to be one of the lives for their 30th anniversary DVD releases.

I wouldn't mind if they release some SHOWCASE concerts as well since that's where we really get to hear some rare tracks, especially SHOWCASE 2009 -B'z In Your Town- which was briefly shown in their 2009 MAGIC album bonus disc. There's also SHOWCASE 2008 -Kiyotake ACTION- (LADY-GO-ROUND, Kimi no Naka de Odoritai, FRIDAY MIDNIGHT BLUE all on the same night?!) and of course, SHOWCASE 2013 -Pleasure75-.

B'z fun fact: ZERO and BLOWIN' have made the most appearances (8) in B'z Pleasure tours, followed by BAD COMMUNICATION, Pleasure ~Jinsei no Kairaku~, and OH! GIRL at 7. Pleasure 2013 featured their most varied setlist, followed by Pleasure 2003.

Re: The B'z Hype Topic! (Starter Selection 2015 Now Available! Includes New 70 Minute Video!)

Postby Jd- » November 8th, 2014, 8:59 pm

Just in time for the band's upcoming releases and tour, the new B'z Starter Selection has arrived! This 2015 edition features songs from all eras of the band's history in order to introduce new fans to the full breadth of B'z music.

This time, we are also offering a special 70 Minute compilation video, featuring 13 performances all being subtitled in English for the very first time—in other words, none have been included in any past releases, including those from Weekly B'z. This video should be a nice addition to the releases of years' past and will hopefully be of interesting to both newcomers and veteran fans alike. The video features footage from this year's ENDLESS SUMMER release, as well as C'mon, Brotherhood, The Final Pleasure, GLORY DAYS, and more!

Both audio & video can be downloaded below, with streaming embeds available for the video portion.

I got a couple of off-hand requests for a catalogue of what songs were in each Weekly B'z release, so I took a few minutes and put together the chart you see below. This includes not just the 35 Weekly B'z releases and the English special, but also the documentaries we've subtitled and all the way up to the 2015 Starter Selection that was just released. Let me know if I missed anything and I'll update it ASAP. (For now, I only included actual, full-length performances and not just excerpts or samples)
