I know - I am in over my head with this one. But I can't really afford it at the moment. I hope they stick around for a couple of months ... I want one of those ;)

I'm sure there will be a proper update on www.offthelock.com soon, but Tak confirmed on radio that a new album is currently in the works and is expected to land in 2015. No word on if any singles or anything else will come out this year, but let's hope!

It's been pretty quiet recently. Their last studio album and single were released in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

Interestingly, despite the lack of new songs, ultra soul continues to be used as the theme song for various swimming events. Most recently, the track was used for the 2014 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships.

I was updating the ALONE article on the B'z Wiki and found that Eric Martin covered the song in English:

I should probably add more stuff on the B'z Wiki soon ;D

I really love that cover. Eric has been asking Tak in recent years anytime they run into each other about a TMG II album. You can see him jokingly asking during the Into Free documentary, along with Jack Blades (they both came to see one of the shows, for those that didn't watch it yet).

Definitely! I've got a few articles in mind that I'd like to get to soon, too. There are only 18 singles left that need to be covered out of the 50 (along with 16 albums, 4 of the mini-albums, and 4 of the compilations). For the remaining singles, I went through and added the sales, charting, and certification data for each to cut down on the time it takes to individually research those for each article. That should put a dent in the required time on our part going forward (hopefully!).

Oh that is indeed great news :)
Gotta love the DCs - even thought the ebony isn't really an eyefull to me. A great axe thought :)

Still the Aqua Blue should get this treatment ;)

As I said if I can get the money for the aqua blue together I will grab one from ebay and will do a review ;)

Re: The B'z Hype Topic! (B'z LIVE-GYM 2015 Kicking Off in March!)

Postby Jd- » October 10th, 2014, 6:09 am

Breaking News:

B'z LIVE-GYM 2015 has been announced!

The news comes hot from the latest issue of Be With!, the band's official fanclub magazine. The hall portion of the tour will run from March to May of 2015, with the expected dome leg to begin shortly afterward. Dates for all of the hall shows are now available on OffTheLock.com and pre-orders for tickets will open in December.

There are rumors of a new single in January and a new album in February. We're expecting the album to come in February now ourselves, but we'll have more confirmation once more details from the magazine are available. Hype!

Looks like they're requesting fans which song they haven't heard yet but would like to hear at a LIVE-GYM. This reminds me of their LIVE-GYM 2008 -ACTION- where they performed several rare tracks throughout the tour, including some album tracks live for the very first time. I do hope the setlist is as varied as ACTION though.

Personally (as part of an eventual home video release), I'm hoping for:
  • LADY-GO-ROUND (1990)
  • Yami no Ame (1994)
  • WILD ROAD (1994)
  • ARIGATO (2004)
  • Sanctuary (2005)
  • GO FOR IT, BABY -Kioku no Sanmyaku- (2012)

All great choices; really unfortunate we missed Sanctuary during CIRCLE OF ROCK. Almost made it onto the DVD... However! It was definitely filmed earlier in the tour. Maybe we'll see that sometime?

I'm really hoping to see Kairaku no Heya make a comeback sometime. For those unfamiliar, you can hear it in Weekly B'z #10 as the middle song as well as on IN THE LIFE. Really a great live song.

I would love to see GO FOR IT BABY, Kairaku no Heya live. Also a comeback of Kodoku no runaway, kimi no naka oderaitai, dattara sono te wo hanashite, sweet lil'devil, the meister, mei mei, do me, you and I, amadare blues, suima yo, aqua blue, manequin village, dattara age chae yo, long time no see and so many other songs :P.

Some more from The 7th Blues won't hurt :)
Ichibu to Zenbu - there was this one version in B'z Weekly - I loved it :)
What was is called - it wasn't the original version. It was slower... I want to hear the full version of that live :)

Ichibi to Zenbu -Ballad Version-, released as a B-side on MY LONELY TOWN. Man, that was a great addition to that single. Those unfamiliar can hear a sample for it on the wiki page.

Exactly :)
I will have it in a couple of weeks :)
But it would be awesome to have some more Ballads in a Live-Gym. Maybe a whole Ballad-Gym would be awesome !
