Just to remind everyone who has the possibilities to partake in this:
The New Horizon Special Edition Lottery is comming to an end.
If someone actually gets that vinyl I would love to see some pictures :)
Head over to the sign-up form and enter your ID you received with New Horizon.
Yeah I am jealous of people who actually signed up for this (Maybe I will setup my tesco account today - just not sure about the terms because of legal issues in germany XD)

Lately I have been into building my own guitar-pedals.
And given the fact that Taks Wah is way to expensive even thought it's a great pedal I undertook a risky operation :)
Right now I have modded my Cry Baby with a Bass and Middle regulator. With this I can mimic nearly any sound any wah creates.
Next step is to build in a little switch that will let me regulate how much I can push the bar down :) :)

If anyone has some interesting pedals from Tak please post them here.
MY sources are crappy :(

The latest one-hour conversation piece featuring Koshi and another celebrity talking at length features him alongside Minoru Niihara, lead singer of fellow Japanese rock band LOUDNESS. Koshi and Tak have a long history with the band, having befriended them over their many years in the music industry together. During the one-off show B'z Special LIVE at EX THEATER ROPPONGI last year, B'z played a cover of the classic LOUDNESS song "Crazy Nights". The performance came five years to the day that founding LOUDNESS drummer Munetaka Higuchi passed away in 2008.

As a special bonus, check out the included clip of the performance below:

This is great to hear!

Unlike with electric guitars, which rely on several electronic components of varying quality, an acoustic guitar is a simple bit of craftsmanship. For a beginner acoustic guitar, you want to spend at least $100 but you definitely don't need to spend anything more than $250 or $300, for sure.

Do you have any local Guitar Center-type stores or anything like that? I'm sure they could guide you into choosing a good guitar and getting you set up with the accessories you need. If not, I'll gladly help you choose some things online.

I am going to visit a store today but i just want it to make sure that I will get a guitar that can play a variety of B'z songs ( usually ballads). I've usually seen Tak using a Folk guitar (http://www.pulseonline.com/Alvarez/AF60all.jpg). If i am wrong please correct me.

Sorry for the really late reply. Busy as always.

I hope you didn't get a guitar to mimic someone :)
If you go out an buy a guitar. Take the whole day off. Get down with several guitars and just play them. I mean touch them and see how it feels. Just plug some strings and test them out.
That works way better than just "Hey I want that Blue one". You can play anything with the right guitar. Let's ignore that some guitars have total different tones no matter what you do.

Once you found the lady which is right for you anything else is just a matter of time :)

B'z will be fully back in the studio and back to work in mid-August. Shane Gaalaas is already in L.A., so I would expect him to be providing drums as one would expect. Let's hope Barry is also free for the occasion and ready to go.

To hold everyone over until the return of B'z, Koshi has released one more digital exclusive single from his solo sessions entitled "Saturday". This song served as the Ending SE music for the recent ~en ball~ tour and is available now to purchase on the Japanese iTunes and related services. Suitably, the music video now available below from the official B'z YouTube channel features plenty of footage from the show, which does not yet have a home video release date but was simulcast to Japanese theaters:

The release of "Saturday" was quite a surprise, I'm a little disappointed it's a digital only single. This is also the first time an ending SE is released as a single; even B'z have not done this before!

Tak & Koshi should be back in the studio this month and working on the next batch of releases. You can probaaably also expect some sort of home video releases for the solo tours, but I'm not sure when those will come to be.

JD, Fantastic news B'z are back in studio!

If they're continuing (and not 'commencing'^) work, fair to assume some has been done already. Do you think there's any chance the album will be released this year??

Okay folks, if you have some spare money around and are looking for Taks awesome Aqua-Blue this might be something for you.
As you know I am a big fan of his signature models but poorly nobody out of japan can buy them :(
Someone from Japan is currently selling some on ebay. As far as I can tell it looks real and is the real deal.
It's the epiphone model but hey - nothing wrong with a good epi ;) Had a go with a really expensive Gibson a few weeks back and it the cheap ones beat it by long!

German link:

English link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Epiphone-Tak-Ma ... 25960777af

Can someone find a flaw with those?
Please let me know :)

That looks completely legit to me. Everything checks out as far as I can tell. Such a nice finish on all of Tak's models, but I especially love this one. You don't really get such a look too often.

I'm certainly hoping so! They're actively working on something to some degree right now, but we don't know exactly when it will hit just yet. I'm still expecting solo home videos to hit covering this year's solo tours, too.

Tak will be a guest on a radio show in a couple of days (Tuesday, I think), though it's unknown what the theme or topic of discussion will be. I wouldn't expect new B'z news there, but... possibly!
