This game is super cute and looks like the best kind of platformer: simple but creative. The kind of thing you can pick up, pretty intuitively know how to play in ten seconds, and then spend ten days trying to figure out HOW TO BEAT THAT ONE GODDAMN LEVEL.

Plus Ristar is super cute. I want to huggle him.

That is a pretty accurate statement for the game. But there's only 2 parts I'd consider remotely near 10 days levels of difficult to be honest. Castlevania or Ninja Gaiden this is not. :p

Ristar is kind of adorable. Which is probably why it was stupid and irrelevant it was to make him CONSTANTLY ANGRY.

Also, switching from Friday to Thursday. Partially because I don't want an entire week without an update and partially because I'd prefer the gap to be shorter during weekdays than weekends.

On the other hand, as per my usual taste in my own attempts at entertainment, the least popular video right now is part 4, and I think it's the most entertaining.

Well, this one was actually completed. I didn't go into that much in the actual videos for thoughts but it should be obvious. I am my biggest critic on these vids so I can't say I'm super happy with them or anything close, but I am glad I got to show off a game I like and that I actually completed the Let's Play this time. It was probably the right choice outside of my awkward attempts to learn how to play a Sega Genesis game on a keyboard while talking. Anyone who actually watched the whole thing has my thanks.

Assuming nothing else goes wrong, I have higher hopes for the next one and I think it will be a fun nostalgia trip for anyone who has forgotten about their N64.

Anyway, what's your next one gonna be? Because I spent a LOT of time on my N64 as a kid so I'm so up for a nostalgia trip For some reason I keep thinking it's going to be Banjo-Kazooie next. IDK why that's the first game that springs to mind when you bring up the N64, but it is.

-For once, that was actually true. Mostly at least. I was just playing like an idiot because I knew it barely mattered what I did because the fight was in the next vid anyway. And I did want some representation of how bad I did at that fight for the footage that vanished. Why would I choose then to pull that card anyway?

-About the music, I thought it was done by Jun Senoue because I associate great Sega music with him, but that's completely false. It was done by 3 people, only one of which has a Wiki page (Naofumi Hataya). And his work is almost exclusively shared with other people. This always disappoints me because I want to know who did what for game music but when there's more than one composer, you usually never know. That's why I love Smash Bros Brawl and Okami's sound test, because they actually tell you who did what.

-I can't tell you what it is because that would ruin the surprise. It would be more fun to just post it and see the reactions. I will say it's not Banjo Kazooie, much as I love that game.
