Next Anime Opening: ''Q&A'' by B'z! (Now Out! Videos & Lyrics Added!)

B'z will be providing the next Detective Conan anime opening theme, entitled "Q&A", which will be featured on B'z The Best XXV 1999-2012 due for release on June 12th along with its companion album, B'z The Best XXV 1988-1998. The two compilations collect all of the B'z singles to date along with four new songs between them and all of the accompanying promotional videos (in the special editions). The opening started with the May 4th airing.

The wording given was "人生において大切な瞬間に、自分にウソをつかないでいよう" and indeed comes directly from him. This was from the special page included in Shounen Sunday in 2011 to promote the movie:

"Congratulations to Detective Conan celebrating its 15th anniversary.
We have been offered to produce a song a lot of times for Detective Conan. The song is closely related to the movie.
It has been 5 years since our last production for Detective Conan, we have put a lot of enthusiasm into it. It's a great honour for us.
The song is about the will to not lie to yourself in important situations in life.
Please enjoy "Don't Wanna Lie" along with the Detective Conan movie."

This was also posted on the official movie site at the time as well. My guess is Koshi was asked to prepare the opening lines and then also incorporated that into their message to Conan fans there.

I hope Q&A won't be like the other two out of three songs B'z had. Shodou and GIRIGIRI Chop (both from a while ago) are all random animations taken from previous openings, which I found was slipshort work. I know it's not up to them to decide what the animations are, but it's just too coincidental, but I'm not going to dwell on that, since both Shodou and the chop song are all from quite a long time ago.

Anyways, about the song, I actually liked Try Again, but new openings are always refreshing. It makes me wonder if this opening is going to carry onto the next... you know... arc. *nudge nudge*

LOL I understand if one dislikes B'z music but ... ''Don't Wanna Lie'' sounds hard-rock enough though, don't you think so? If you can stand it, you'll love many other songs in their properties too :3

The only B'z song used in the DC franchise that I didn't really like was Shôdô. Now that was 'noisy'.
