Ran's role changed? Other's too?

I like Ai/Conan because together they are a more interesting pair when they are together. I've never liked Ran/Shinichi together. They've always annoyed me. Reason being....it is too cliche and too obvious. And the same pattern happens all the time, and has been happening for years......A story can change. Love is an unpredictable thing....just like a story

and i just like to ask one thing... why haibaraXconan?
i mean the amvs are awesome...but is it right to change the girl that waited almost a year?
thats kinda depressing if thats the ending... poor ran...

well it's sorta to be expected imo, as pretty much all the ai and ran threads touch on the same points pretty much, people just have different opinions on them.

I hope everyone feels comfortable to express their true opinions, it'll make things more interesting !

As to difference in opinion, bound to happen.  But if people keep talking to each other respectfully and present well constructed arguements hopefully we'll all learn some new things and learn to live with each other (lol).  That's why I said couple threads are usually started by newbies to the forum- they haven't talked with people on this forum yet.   

The worse that can happen is for people to clamp up about their opinions or only talk to people who share their opinion.  That's so borrrrinnnggggg.

Death fics?  Hate clubs?  Pitchforks?

I dunno whats up with his avatar, I asked him once why it was just a tripod thing, but he said it was working on his computer and I was the one that was having problems : /  I cant detect sarcasm on the internet, so I took his word...it prob works on his, but it doesnt work for anyone else's lol

Well, Ran has been waiting a year, yes, for someone who hasn't even CONFESSED he loves her. They are also NOt dating, so....

-_- are you trying to say that...Haibara is more of a damsel in distress than Ran?  You obviously have forgotten like half of the godamn movies and episodes where Ran gets in trouble and conan's gotta save her.  Let's see. Movie 1. Movie 2.  Movie 4. Movie 9. movie 11...im just listing off the top of my head, theres god knows how many episodes of Ran being the damsel in distress.

Yes. I wouldn't say Haibara is just a D.I.D., but Ran is way ahead of Haibara in saves vs. being saved in manga canon stories. Haibara also has, “I know I can depend on Kudo to protect/save me/us,â€

I think comparing other characters with Ran (not just Haibara {with Ran} but that's going to be the obvious one), is relevant when discussing her role and characterization. Now, if it gets to, “Ran deserves Shin'ichi because...â€
