Amuro don't have any sympathy to Ran as Vermouth.

Wasn't Bourbon's promise to Vermouth about sparing Conan's and Ran's lives?

I'm wondering where this is going.
Bourbon hasn't realized the connection between Ai and Shiho (or has he?), so with Shiho turning back into Ai, Bourbon may back off again. And Vermouth can't tell Bourbon about the transformation in order to protect Conan, so Ai is safe as long as she doesn't leave her house or having Conan around her.

Somebody probably will get seriously hurt this time, though. With both Ran and Okiya turning up, there will be a lot of confusion first -- perhaps some unintended gunshot and stuff.

Yukiko implied the 'special guest' was the one who'd helped with moving Sera straight before a cut to Okiya laying down Sera in his room. Plus, Okiya and Yukiko were seen in the same room and talking to each other earlier. Doesn't that mean the special guest, I don't know, Okiya?

We don't exactly sure what the promise is. Although I think you probably right that's it involved Ran and Conan. I'm still not sure how far Bourbon willing to keep that promise. Vermouth wasn't sure either and she had come to check him once in the case that Conan got "kidnapped".

I bet we'll see Conan showing up just as Akai/Okiya is about to go and save Shiho from being killed by Bourbon. Conan we'll say something like "Let me handle this, you don't have to reveal your identity yet", and since the train might have already got very close to the destination(and to Gin and Vodka), Conan will shoot Amuro with the tranquilizer while Okiya takes Shiho and makes an escape.

as for the murder case, it looks I was right about Murobashi causing that fire and the painting being stolen

and how did Conan know that vermouth was going to board the train? since the only reason yukiko boarded the train was because conan told her he is going to be facing vermouth.

maybe because okiya said to yukiko or conan that shiho was seen in internet, remember okiya hacked mouri's computer, and they see the bell tree express ring..

just realized this after my post a couple of hours ago. what if the special guest Yukiko was talking about is Kaito Kid? This IS a "KID" case after all. who knows? she wouldn't be stressing there was a "special" guest if it wasn't someone REALLY special. besides, both Yukiko and Vermouth are Kuroba Toichi's students so theres got to be any connection.

The special guest is akai, the BO silver bullet who's supposed to be dead, thats why she was stressing it.

about the special guest, I wouldn't be telling Vermouth about it just like that. But now Vermouth will endlessly wonder who might be that guest and if he can be dangerous for them and Akai really is dangerous for them. Maybe Vermouth will include Yuusaku as well in the list of possible guests

I'm inclined to think that Sherry is far from being as vulnerable as she looks. Okiya has likely briefed her on the Plan (after all, this sort of very curious "gap" between events usually means something important happened that cannot be revealed until later) -- there's no way she could have successfully evaded Okiya, taken the pill, and grabbed adult clothes without him waiting patiently in some corridor.

I'm also inclined to think that Kaito KID, while having nothing to do with the Black Org and this storyline, is likely to be somewhere on this train and may have a minor role (like keeping the kids from running into danger or something). This is the only chance for him to scope out the train layout before his announced heist, after all. One of the Mouris again, perhaps, or the freckled train attendant.

Kid never announced a heist and didn't do it after all.

still wouldn't explain how they knew that specifically vermouth was going to come.

bit of gamble really but they know that one of BO agent is in train after seeing Shino. plan which faked Ai death is still going as long someone from BO see it. doesnt matter weather it will be vermouth or not

The whole Scar Akai thing explains Vermouth being there, since she is the pro make-up artist in the BO and to make a Scar Akai so good that Jodie actually fell for it, you need someone like Vermouth. So it is a safe conclusion that Bourbon (Scar Akai) and Vermouth (Scar Akai II) are working together, therefor going together to get Sherry.
It is a safe assumption from Conan's side, as Yukiko said, that Vermouth doesn't want Conan's and Ai's secret to be revealed, therefor she has to be there to make sure, that other BO members, like Bourbon won't figure out the shrinking thing.
