I'm pretty sure it is Okiya/Hat Lady who did it. Neither Vermouth or Amuro know Haibara's phone number. On the other hand Haibara phoned Yukiko back in the London case. Assuming she has the same number from back then, and the hat lady is Yukiko, then Okiya gets passed her number. Also, given how many times Okiya has been over at Agasa's, it's possible he could have taken a peek at Agasa's phone at some point. Okiya magically being in the right spot to intercept Haibara after driving her out doesn't seem like a coincidence either.mihai wrote:I wonder though if it was really Vermouth that sent the message to Haibara. Since the address was unknown, it could've been someone else as well(even Akai/Okiya)

Because, if Yukiko was hat-lady, I think she would say that to Vermouth disguised as Scar Akai #2. Probably to shock Sharon that some random in the train knows her motto. I think it's in character for Yukiko as someone who likes risks (-> her driving skills and participation in the Halloween Party, even though she was not really needed there.)
Vermouth does know Amuro, Sera and Okiya's numbers though.

Wholeheartedly agreed. Especially as it was kinda noteworthy that she ran after Ai and noticed how distressed she was. Ai gripping Ran's shirt caught my attention at once. - But I might be reading too much into this =D =D

Why the spoiler tag? Spoiler and English are on the same spot now (File 821) .
Your question. It hard to tell. But This Scar Akai seem shorter than the Akai Ran met.

If you talking about Amuro, Okiya and Sera seem to on the phone to someone at the same time. Vermouth could only phone one of them and that's Bourbon (Amuro). Then Vermouth don't know Okiya nor Sera's phone number.
BTW either Gin or Kir know Akai's number since they phone him easily in Clash arc (And no FBI beside James know of this=Akai private number, not the organization's (FBI) number). Kir should not know because she suppose to be unconscious all the time (in BO point of view). That's leave Gin who provide her number.
I once curious that will Gosho go as far as explain why each people have other phone number. Judge from Kazuha with Uehara and Scar Akai with Kogoro (if he's Amuro who interest in Kogoro) then Gosho see it important to explain how they got number. If this time it's really Vermouth. Gosho must explain why Vermouth randomly know Haibara number. But if it's Okiya and his hat lady then it's as Chekhov said.

It'd be forcing her into a climax she has no reference in, basically so Ran can hog screen time from the relevant characters.Wakarimashita wrote:I hope Ran has a significant role (and Kogoro too). Not the same as in episode 345 but still a significant role.

Also Ran reminds people (Shiho and Akai) of Akemi, so that may crop up again and give her a reason to be relevant.Wakarimashita wrote:ProfParanoia wrote:It'd be forcing her into a climax she has no reference in, basically so Ran can hog screen time from the relevant characters.Wakarimashita wrote:I hope Ran has a significant role (and Kogoro too). I disagree. I think when it comes to the BO and 'Conan getting his body back' plot, Ran can always be somewhat relevant. It's also perfectly legitimate for the main femalde lead not to be completely left on the side .
