Not debunking any theories, just saying that when it comes to speculation, people will grasp at the little clues. DC has shown us that they're often the most important.

And yeah, Yukiko being the lady would be repetitive, but it would at least be easy to explain. Bringing back Fusae after such a long time and as an FBI character would be a twist, yes, but a little jarring if done without any reasonable warning. Maybe if she'd actually had some gingko merchandise to clue the audience in (as it would have been a really good small clue since Fusae hasn't appeared in a long time, anyone to remember the gingko leaf thing would be rewarded for it) but so far there isn't any concrete evidence.

There's none for anyone, really, but since Fusae is more of a minor character, for me that means she'll need even more/better evidence than, say, Yukiko. I can believe on a whim that Yukiko is coming, that's just how she is and she's done it before. But Fusae has been seen once and for a short period. Bringing her up without any concrete clue would just be a bit ridiculous :/ For me, the Fusae thing is similar to the woman being Kir - could happen, yeah, but it'd need one hell of an explanation to back it up.

Woah. Me discussing why it isn't Fusae yesterday, with these exact words:

"I don't want it to be because I think it's a little jarring"

In addition to everything else that's been said, it's way too long ago for that to be a meaningful twist or turn of events, I think. If we hadn't been discussing this character so much in this community over the years, how many of you would actually remember her at first sight and not say, "Who?" to her appearance? I bet the number is low--really low. Truthfully, I think she'll never show up again. If she does, it'll be to give Agasa a nice pairing for the ending, but that's unnecessary all the same.

Fusae is rich.  The only way I'd accept it being her is if she's in a Tony Stark/Bruce Wayne-esque roll of simply being awesome because she has money to throw at being so.  If she's randomly an FBI member, yeah that would be ridiculous.

While I'm not exactly a fan of repetitiveness, a Yukiko appearance would at least make sense. A Fusae appearance really wouldn't. :V

I also want to point out hat lady clearly said something to Scar Akai that the readers are not allowed to hear as she passed in the one panel. If Scar Akai is Vermouth, Yukiko getting her dig in for the friendship betrayal/Sharon's fake death thing completely makes sense. Also Scar Akai reacts to Hat lady, so another point for Yukiko there.

I also want to point out hat lady clearly said something to Scar Akai that the readers are not allowed to hear as she passed in the one panel. If Scar Akai is Vermouth, Yukiko getting her dig in for the friendship betrayal/Sharon's fake death thing completely makes sense. Also Scar Akai reacts to Hat lady, so another point for Yukiko there.

I also pointed out the exact same thing on the spoiler cbox today but everyone told me they noticed it. I didn't notice it until I saw that page a second time!

Awesome theories so far but I was wondering what if there is no twist unlike episode 345 .What if Subaru is Bourbon after all ,Im sure it will surprise everyone .I know its unlikely but I have a  feeling that we are gonna get 1 such twist which nobody expected .Would be Awesome that way although its looking more and more likely that

Also is it just me or IIRC that Yukiko did not identify Vermouth when she transformed into the Officer so i dont see how she could have identified her as scar Akai

Will this case give us some answers or will it just give us more questions after it's over?

@Ginrei: fusae may not be an FBI agent, but could possibly be with the agency or play a similar role to which yukiko plays.

In terms of fusae working with the agency she could be akai's contact within the agency that could explain how he found out about ethan hondou being an agent.

In terms of fusae playing a similar role to yukiko, she could be a close confidant who akai trusts which is the more likely scenario.

As for what the lady said to Scar!Akai (since she obviously said something) I would think it'd be something like "Be careful, Sharon" or "You look different, Sharon" or something.

It's kind of a long shot, but what if the hat lady is Jodie?

It just occurred to me that it would make sense to what Okiya said to Haibara if the hat lady was Jodie...

It's kind of a long shot, but what if the hat lady is Jodie?

Explored this possibility too, and it is also possible. However, a lot of drama would be gone if Gosho opted for this route--I think everyone's been expecting a big, dramatic reveal upon Akai's revival with concern to Jodie, James, and Camel. If Jodie is the mystery lady, then... that drama's already gone and we won't have her inevitably-tearful reunion happening in the midst of everything else. At most, if it is Jodie, it'd be pushed to a flashback which would negate a lot of the moment. The thing this would accomplish is making the FBI in Conan out to be less incompetent than they have been in the past (given that they've more-often-than-not been a punching bag in the story to showcase the might of the Borg).

Due to the only real clue being that it's a (likely) right-handed (likely) female but with so many people in Conan being unquestioned masters of disguise, it can be about anyone. I am (unfortunately) expecting Yukiko at this point still, but am definitely willing to be proven wrong in the upcoming files.
