probably not. If you want to actually do something that'll make a difference instead of just looking like you are, there's other ways to save power than to turn off lights for a length of time that equates to roughly 0.01% of power used in a year.

Especially considering that lights are responsible for only about 1% of electrical (!) power directly (!) consumed. So, it's about 0.0001% of the yearly amount of electric energy :P
In fact, lowering the thermostat by 1°C (or lessening heating in another way) for a day is far, far more effective :x

I just normally conserve, so I shouldn't make an hour of not using any electricity seems like so much.
If I would go through with it, I would just use candles and read a book. Not those electronic ones either.
