Novel. Though I miss the "comics-manga" option (I would go with novel nonetheless, but still...), or would that rather be only belletristic? :-\

short stories, I like the way that they tend to just take a single concept and run with it for long enough to be interesting, but not long enough to be dragged out

I'm not as much a fan of novels because I am a horrible human being who can't stand to read for any extended period of time.

Novel by far.

You can't have a really good story if you don't have enough time to place down actual traits or make a real story out of everything.
