I don't even try to talk about the subject with my dad for this reason. The two of us have very different views.

So what do you want people to say, that those homosexuals should die and get rid of. If it is not from the bible to be a homosexual and they should send directly to hell? They are the reason that diseases and other forms of illness come from them?
Is that what you want people to say? Do you really want to have this thread filled with arguments?

I think we're all reasonably mature enough to have this thread open without it causing issues; hopefully I'm right about that. If not, it can be locked pretty quickly if it needs to.

I'm pretty sure a very large majority of the members here are aware that their opinion will differ from others. ...Which is why I love it so <3

I think that you should never limit anyone's freedom on anything, as long as noone gets hurt. Or, put differently, the only purpose of any prohibition or ban must be to protect people from being harmed against their will. Therefore, I'd theoretically approve of any action between consenting humans, but I do agree that we cannot presume that children are able to realize the full consequences of their actions, which is why I'd limit it to consenting adults. So, anything between consenting adults, including, among other things, homosexuality, is fine with me, and any ban on it is, in my opinion, immoral.

Also, considering the bible argument:
It may be that (some?) Christians believe homosexuality is immoral, but considering that countries are (or at least, definitely should be) independent of religion, the doctrine of a particular religion is completely irrelevant to the law, just like it is to anyone not part of said religion. Even if 99.9% of the people in that country follow this one religion, it shouldn't be of any significance.

Yes.

Who are we to stop them? They have their own rights, and we are not allowed to take their freedom away from them. They bring no harm to us, so why discriminate them? In this world we live in, others tend to be biased against homosexuals. But why? Why be so hard on them? Is it because they're different from what we are used to? Well, that's just wrong! It's not like you will die just because a homo is within the vicinity. Sometimes, I think, being with homosexuals is way better than being with people who know nothing but to look at others as if they were nothing more than dirt, as if they were any better than anyone else. Yup, I'd take a homo as a friend any day over someone as low as that.

There's nothing wrong about being a homosexual but when one engages in homosexual activities that's when things go wrong...at least for me.
