Stay away from any sort of tennis match.

Also, visit the Holmes museum at Baker Street.

Go to the Holmes Museum, as Jd- said.  I have been there, and it is very epic >:D  Much bigger than what the anime showed.

The London eye is also pretty epic, but also pretty scary if you're afraid of hights :O (like I am..)

And.. Erm.. I went there last summer but I can't remember any other place..  I'll edit if I do.. *>.>

PS: Buy some Orangina, it's the best drink ever (unless you don't like oranges or carbonated drinks..) and I've never found it in the US..  But I guess if you're not from the US then you might have had it before.. I'll stop rambling now..

As a Londoner, I will give you some advice:

Buy your food from the supermarkets when you are on the go, tesco, sainsburuy's, coops, morrisons, or waitrose. cheaper than individual restaurants and shops in C.London. If, you are in greater London, buy them from there.

Check on line
to check if there are any engineering works or strikes  :-X it means some lines might be suspended.

By the way, I hope you have Oyster card now, if not, buy one, it is cheaper for transport!

It worth it also to check online for prices or discounts before going anywhere.

Like most places, people are nice, but careful with money and any other equipments you are carrying, put them always where you can see keep an eye on them.

As for places to visit: Covent gardens is my favourite, they have cheap street shows there  :)

Also, this might be useful:

Greater London is good too, it is not typical for tourists, but if you get board from C.London, you may give it a go, try Wimbledon for example.

If you need any help for any reason, you may PM me.

if I think of something else, I will post it

The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

Hmm... I was down there a few months ago myself, I'd say... Natural History museum, that place is awesome, some of the other museums round there too, but the science one is based a lot around interactive stuff so your mileage may vary on that. As the others have said, the Holmes museum and the London Eye, I'm terrified of heights so I had to force myself onto it, but once I was on it was extremely smooth, lot more than I expected and you can see quite a lot too.
Other than that, transport needs to be sorted out, like was previously said, I'm not sure if there are daily and weekly bus passes down there, though there probably are, it depends on how long you're staying on if you bother with an Oyster from what I've heard...
And check online for stuff as much as you can...
Yeah, that's all I can think of :)

HYDE PARK!!!! Totally worth a visit, walk through it and walk up Baker Street, visit the Sherlock Holmes museeum and grab something to eat there.
Don't forget Baker Street Station with the statue of Sherlock Holmes.

Old Scotlandyard and when you are there drop in to the Sherlock Holmes Restaurant. It's a little bit hitten but if you stand right in front of Old Scotland Yard and follow the road to the right side you can see it after the corner. Big Ben is also great :=)  And there is a nice japanese restaurant at the other side of westmister bridge.. well it's cheaper than than the place I went too :D

When you are downtown you have to visit Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. I wandered around there for a whole day :)
If the weather is great relax there.

Wimbledon is a great day trip. I enjoyed it. The park is great and the place is awesome :=)

I advise to walk around a lot. Don't follow the masses that makes it way cooler. I just took the underground to drive long distances like across town^^

@Stopwatch
Yeah I forced myself to go on London Eye but it was worth it :=)

~ Kogorou who wants to be in London now .... and will definetly go there again :)

Gah! I can't believe I've forgotten to mention this!

Go to the London Dungeon!  It's super cool!

At first it seems like one of those scary walk-through type things, but it ends up being super fun, informative, and funny. :'D ...But don't go if you're easily scared, heh.

It pretty much takes you through the more gruesome history of England, beginning with the Medieval times and ending somewhere around Jack the Ripper.  It includes a hall of mirrors, a lesson on medieval torture devices, a medieval courtroom (in which my brother was put on trial for making love to a horse), some rides, and now I feel like I'm spoiling it so I'll stop.  In conclusion: Go there.  It's awesome.

...At least, that's how it was for us.  Your experience might be a little different, seeing as this is happening: http://www.the-dungeons.co.uk/london/en ... t/news.htm
I don't know if this means you'll get the London Dungeon AND Satan's Grotto or if you'll get Satan's Grotto INSTEAD OF the Lundon Dungeon..
