On that note, I hate how technology has advanced along with the present in the DC world.
If no one has aged, it should still be the same year, and they should thus have the same technology.. =.=

I think I have a solution... they're in a wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey bubble left over from "The Wedding of River Song". Time is literally not moving. All of history is happening at once, hence the vast number of murders in a short period of time and the tech advancement. As soon as the Caveman's Club Murder case debuts, my crack theory will be confirmed.

That's quite the epic explanation you have there. xD

As long as no one's dead, rational theorizing is overrated ;D

Repost from the release topic, since it's more pertinent here anyway:

Except that's real: "Ninety three percent of victims of a snow avalanche have survived if they are found within fifteen minutes of the avalanche. "

It is indeed conventional (and correct) wisdom that most people are extremely unlikely to survive past fifteen minutes, but of course the conditions at the time will also play a big part (distance to the surface, whether you can tell which way is up, etc). Up to thirty minutes is possible, and even up to an hour isn't entirely out of the question. Unfortunately, virtually no one ever survives longer than two hours. Speaking of orientation during such an event, just imagine if Conan had been facing the opposite way when he used the soccer ball.

My magnum opus :P It's an epic-sized DC fic that I wrote a couple of years ago which got quite popular. Apparently there's a doujin of it in Vietnam. (All I did was lay down my stories theories around liberal cameos...)

I download it in the morning, watch it in the evening and re-watch it at night.

For me, this is one of the best movie except for its mystery. I mean not the case but how obvious the culprit is and how Conan revealed it. When Conan revealed the culprit, I was like "please, don't make him the culprit. It is to obvious". And then there were a bit of twist about the culprit but an anti-climatic way. Not the way I wanted. But the case as a whole is interesting.

"Words are like swords. If you use them the wrong way, they'll turn into ugly weapons."
I like this quote. Its interesting. I like this scene as its stress the importance of friendship but it still does feel awkward to see Conan saying those words.

The action was still great as always. Except for no one was injured despite how big the accident are. The skateboarding and snowboarding scene are both greatly animated.

The jokes are also really funny. MouriXApe, falling Conan, Ai and Agasa and a lot more.

As for the last scene, the search-for-Conan scene. We all know that he will be safe but still, the scene almost made me cry. It is done fairly great. Until the ball pops out, I was thinking the whole time, "how are they going to found him?" "please find him quick" even though we all know Conan is going to be all right. I would say that this is one of the most well made scene in DC.

The song and soundtracks is good. It suits the situation well. Just saying, maybe it will suit this movie better if the use Don't Wanna Lie (Ballad Version) for the ending theme.

Overall, this movie is a great movie. Congratulations to the production team and thank to DCTP for subbing this. 8/10 overall marks. Not the best but still one of the best.

My only problems with the movie: too much DB screentime, the slightly anticlimatic end to the case itself, and the fact that Conan apparently wasn't hurt in any way at all after the whole incident. I mean, shouldn't there be at least some injuries from when he was kicked around at the dam, or mild hypothermia from being buried in the snow... but no, he's completely fine.

HOWEVER, the snow scenery, action, plus copious amounts of Haibara screentime more than made up for it - I think it has now officially become my favourite movie ever ^^

One question about this movie:
How the heck did the culprit put the bombs that low on the dam?

Seeing how far from reach (from the top of the dam) the bombs were, my only guess is that Conan dealt with a flying culprit...

Oh, and I forgot to add one more point: The music. Is. AWESOME!

(Especially in the last 30 minutes or so.)

From what I can see, it's likely that there may be some corridors/walkways that run along the walls of the dam for personnel to do checks and stuff - you can actually see them in a few scenes, such as the one around 1:33 where Conan himself pulls that flying-skateboard stunt... that's the only sensible explanation I think.
