Here is a little thing I found in my old e-mail account that was translated many-an-age ago, back in 2007. This is from a brief radio appearance B'z did on FM802.
2007/10/15 FM802 "Radio Comment"
Koshi: Hello to everyone tuned into FM802 ROCK KIDS 802.
Tak: Hello.
Koshi: This is Inaba Koshi...
Tak: And Matsumoto Takahiro from B'z.
Koshi: Everyone, thank you so very much for always sending in requests for B'z songs.
Tak: Thank you.
Koshi: So, we, B'z, entered our 20th year as a group on September 21st...
Tak: Yes.
Koshi: Hmm, we'd like to talk about the things and items we've spent the last 20 years with. We're talking 20 years here, so I'm sure there are all kinds of things along with our memories. It doesn't have to be strictly from the past 20 years, but is there anything that you've used over these years with a special place in your heart, or that you're grateful for?
Tak: The past 20 years... "for the past 20 years"... That's a hard one.
Koshi: Well, would saying your guitar be too obvious?
Tak: Yes, well, I've had such guitars since I was in my twenties, you know. One thing that comes straight to mind for me is my glassware. I don't remember how many years ago it was, but I went to Memphis. There's this place in Memphis called Sun Studio. It's a famous tourist attraction now...
Koshi: Ah~ famous, for sure.
Tak: There's a recording studio there where Elvis Presley did his recording.
Koshi: Ah, yes.
Tak: And I bought this... relatively big, what do you call it... beer glass from Sun Studio, and I've been using it for a looong time... for beer and what-not... a looong time.
Koshi: Your favorite glass.
Tak: Yeah, it is.
Koshi: Does that have what's it, Sun Studio's...
Tak: It has their logo on it. It's really kind of a souvenir, but it's really durable and there isn't anything of a similar size in Japan.
Koshi: Cool.
Tak: How about you?
Koshi: The notebooks I use for writing lyrics... I have tens of notebooks, including the ones I've used for B'z.
Tak: You've been holding onto them?
Koshi: Yeah, I've been holding onto them for the time being. I couldn't bring myself to throw them away. Once in a while I'll look at them and recall the past. They're those so-called "college notebooks". You know, the kind that everybody has.
Tak: The kind that you can buy in a three-notebook set.
Koshi: Those are the ones, exactly. I'd start buying them more and more often while I was traveling. There isn't really a specific type or brand I can give as an answer, but I'm always using a notebook... Am I being specific enough for this to qualify as an answer?
Tak: Nah, of course not. It means this guy named Inaba has been spelling out all kinds of words in all kinds of notebooks for 20 years, right?
Koshi: (laughing) Yes.
(Transcriber's Note: At this point, B'z start talking about boots, but I was unable to hear most of what was said)
Koshi: Also, I use Doc Martens during live shows.
Tak: Ah, I see.
Koshi: They're relatively light for boots...
Tak: True.
Koshi: It's just that I know it's bad for the hips, so I put an insole inside...
Tak: (laughs)
Koshi: And so my sole gets all smooth. Anyway, that's basically our discussion about the past 20 years.
Tak: (laughs again)
Koshi: I feel like if we were to keep talking like this, we'd remember all kinds of things, but, well, we've just started our 20th year, so there's no rush. We hope to be able to take our time on talking about this. This has been Inaba Koshi from B'z, over and out.
Tak: This has been Matsumoto Takahiro.
