@mead: It's not given that the Kudos where traveling around. Shinichi was in NY because his parents are living there, so that was kinda a trip "to his home".
Shinichi also lives alone and is kinda proud not to ask for favours. So he probably never asked and they never went outside of japan/NY for a vacation.

Shinichi spent a summer in Hawaii for vacation! That line implies he's been to more than New York and Hawaii! So that is kind of my point. Why have they never been to London other than to make the story have more impact? I mean, it's fine as a reason I guess, it just seems like the story itself was forced @.@

Australian? He didn't even say mate! Sounded more like estuary/cockney to me.
I was actually positively surprised that they made an effort with the accents. Ares and Appollo could sound better, but the accent isn't too bad, one can ignore it. The other natives seem to actually be English, but maybe not actual professionals, since the way they deliver their lines is a bit off.
You have to keep in mind that London is on the other side of the world and if Yusaku Kudo isn't big in the UK (because the TV series never aired there) then he would have little reason to go there.
The pills always last 24 hours, only if he has taken one shortly before is the amount of time reduced. Shinichi might be getting immune, so that Ai had to increase the dosage, but that's nigh-impossible to tell.

Was that canon? I know he says he went to Hawaii in several movies, but I don't recall it in the manga/anime.

And as for the pills, Haibara has said the pills were getting less effective as his body was building up tolerance of sorts to it. But as for how long it lasts, I guess it changed based on the strength of the pill, but hard to tell since it's never explained in that great detail.

Nice episode. The English is very good, the reason why you feel it is awkward is because some of them very speaking slowly and some put the stresses of words on the wrong places. XD

Culprit guy and Diana had great pronuanciation and put the stresses in the right places, my problem was that Diana's voice was a tiny bit irritating. ^^"

There is something about Shinichi and Kogorou accepting the invitation from a complete stranger, without the slightest hesitation, who they have just met , are Japanese people this relaxed and cool

Yeah, that's quite an unrealistic portrayal of the English there.  >:( Come on, every one knows that the only language people all around the world are able to speak is Japanese.
