to be fair, that was blatantly supposed to be kind of a break from the plot after the Vermouth arc, so I get why Gosho did that kind of plot at the time, and it'll likely be important later

later as in never because DC will never get that far plot-wise :( We'll just keep seeing Okiya's and Eisukes until the end of time

2017 isn't THAT far away

but seriously, I will go insane if Gosho does such loooooong term focus on a mystery character again (...that isn't Anokata obviously)

Next story arc: Mitsuhiko's older sister....innocent Japanese girl with freckles that defies logic...or...SAAAKEEE?!!

By scene, it would mean just a short moment right? Anyway, my fav is Ai's reaction to her suspicion that Akai's a Lolicon, freak amusing LOL
Least fav, not just a particular scene but anytime a caucasian speaks english ie Jodie, Vermouth, James... in the jap series, they sound worse when speaking english than trying to fake a foreign accent in their jap.

favourite scene is quite hard... have many ...

one would be yamato and uehara talking about conan in the car while ai and agasa pretend to sleep and he mentions he thinks conan is a monster and the whole halfkill-overkill thing

another one would be the moments when heiji and conan take off their disguises in the vermouth arc climax

almost every scene where conan ask the main suspect (mostly 1 suspect cases) a bullseye question which the suspect thought he avoided being considered... i really like to see their shocked faces and this thinkingbubbles with "what is with this kid?" :)

just thought of another one... the moment when conan reveals to eisuke that his sister is a CIA ... loved Kir's face in that one

Little kid:  You look like my mom...she died last year...

Hidemi:  A boy should be strong!  You shouldn't come here again for you and your mom's sake.  Understand?

Little kid: Alright I will!  Bye bye Rena nee-chan!

Hidemi:  *smiles sadly and tears up*  Bye... bye.....

me: ;A;  *cries*  It's so sad how she's imaging saying goodbye to Eisuke when he was little.  It's like reliving that memory again ;__;

I know it's from the movie but my favourite scene is in movie 5, when Ran and Conan jump of that building <3 if I had to pick one from the series ... hmmm .. I liked the scene in NY case, where Ran meets the serial killer and saves him and the scene in the mermaid case where Heiji almost fell of a cliff and Kazuha pulled him back (and then the ep. ended *_*) and the scene where Shinichi invites Ran to a restaurant and then sloves a case but has to turn back to Conan (in the bathroom)

least favourite .. hm hm hm .. maybe every scene where sth romantic was about to happen but somebody got murdered? xD I dunno, have to think about it more

My most favorite scenes,as in sceneS (there's so many!) are ShinRan/ConRan moments...funny moments,Conan's jealousy, when Conan follows Ran,Conan and Ran bath scenes!(imagining conan is Shinichi),Ran saves Haibara! So cool and brave angel! Shinichi/Conan saves Ran(vise versa),Ran's karate,Conan's blush and...soo many more! B.O scenes! When Akai shoot Gin! So cool!
Least:hmM...when conan is getting closer to the B.O. then his chance was gone! Gin's idiocy! Tsk! He's killing those people who knew conan's identity! Baka deshou?! When case interupts in ShinRan moments specially in Desperate Revival! And hate it when he Shrinks! Arg!

Least Favorite Scene: Was in episode 345 when Vermouth was about to shoot Haibara, but then Ran jumped from out of the trunk, ran across the car all slow motion-y-like, went on top of Haibara and stayed their expecting the person to keep missing for some reason. Also Ran reminding Haibara of her sister. That scene was so unnecessary on so many levels.

eh??!! O_o so..you want ai to die?? hmm ?? just kidding..  :D

there is nothing I would take away from 345...but if I did, it would likely be the Ran is like Akemi thing. Even any continued "Haibara considers Ran like a sister" development doesn't really justify that odd scene, since it would be less forced that Ran reminded Haibara of her sister during that scene, but mentioned or at least thought by Haibara later. That episode had enough twists and references and the like anyway.

I also have a pet peeve about characters being treated as if they are the same as other characters unless there's a good reason.

I didn't like it at all. Way too random for my taste. She was just ignoring Ran like the day before and then Ran reminds her of Akemi? There was no basis for it.

She had already went and introduced herself to Ran 100 episodes prior to 345 (episode 247). Besides, she could also have had a hard time approaching Ran precisely because she reminded her of Akemi (thus it was painful). I don't see anything wrong there, on the contrary I think it's well done and well developed.

My main issue with 345 is the slow-motion and the pace in general. A 2 hour special would have been enough, it was not necessary to do a 2.5 hour special.

Yea it's funny that they put the slow motion rather than the actual ending to it.

Ok, but like I said there was no basis for that. Not even a little hint that, that could be true so that's why it was very random imo

And there is the added question of "why run on top of the car?"
