It's been ten years and I still find this hilarious.

As for least favourite, it's never entire scenes I have problems with, rather minor things which strike me as awkward/inappropriate/whatever while reading.
An example would be Eisuke being nearly traumatized by seeing two "men" kiss. It's one thing to be surprised, but acting like he's seen the devil himself.. yeah, that wasn't one of Gosho's best days.

But, being offended by the way Slider conducts himself is just being overly sensitive... Note JD passes it of as me being offended by Slider merely disagreeing with me, instead of Slider's tendency to express disagreement with insulting one liners. This is oblivious at best and probably disingenuous intentional obliviousness.

You are referring to your grudge that stems from a comment the guy made three years ago, right? No wonder he doesn't remember--no one would. There's a time when you let things go. Now is that time.

You're done talking about him, actually. I at least figured it was recent, but that's just absurd. I don't care if Slider murdered your family or kidnapped your dog for ransom--you'll be taking it elsewhere from now on, pickle. You were the one who said that Slider's insulting of your website still bothered you deeply. I again remind you it was three years ago--time to let it go. If it was just about Slider and his "insulting dismissals", why do you not ignore him? If he is truly the village idiot that you continually insinuate he is, what is the point in feeding his troll urges? Wow, it was. Can you really question my dedication in any sense? I must be one hell of an anti-fan is all I can say. I've subbed more than half of every Detective Conan episode available in English. More than half. Of 622 episodes. That's not even counting most of the movies and all of the OVAs. I have stuck with this series at its best and at its worst. We both know you're attributing an argument to me that is not my own by saying that I am "frustrated" in any form. If I were "frustrated" at the (lack of) story progress, I wouldn't have continued to ensure there would always be high quality releases of both the anime and the manga, every week, for all these years. And the movies. And the OVAs. If that's the resume of an "anti-fan" who also happens to be someone who doesn't attack others at every turn simply for having a different opinion than them, I'll gladly take up that flag. Considering, you know, the "true fans" like you have, by comparison, done... virtually nothing but attack others that have done no personal harm to you.

Calling me an "anti-fan" really is funny to me. Consider this: Far more people tend to side with me than they do you. If we are, in fact, the majority... how are we still the "anti-fans"? Is it because we're actually just "anti-true fans" against "true fans" like you? If so, it may be time for me to start rallying the troops.

You see, the difference between Nyarl and Jd- is that Jd- is able to accept things for what they are. Being frustrated with the series would require me to pretend that it is something it isn't--I don't. I know how Gosho operates and I accept the series for what it is, not what I want it to be. Posting my observations to that effect (whether they be in support or in criticism of the author) support that supposition entirely. Beyond that, I generally tend to accept the opinions of others as their take on the series because that's what we should do as fellow fans--I don't label them "anti-fans" just because they disagree with me or insult my waifu. That doesn't mean there's no room for debate; there's plenty. What it does mean, Nyarlkins, is that not everyone is out to hurt your little heart (or your waifu-chan) when they disagree with you.

Some of my favorite scenes are when Kogoro actually solves the case on his own, or some proding from Conan, probably because they occur so rarely.  Some of the ones I don't like as much are when the FBI agents feel obligated to murder the English language, though I give props to the show for at least attempting having American characters speak English, and the British characters actually had a few that weren't totally awful.(again at least they try and considering the target audience doesn't speak English, its fair enough.
