"Tenebrosity" is a good word.... I think the only reason I knew what it meant was from playing the second Tales of Symphonia game. (Well, partway. I never finished it because I couldn't STAND the new characters.)

Really good, when watching it I couldn't help but think they wanted this to be a hour and a half special but since their time slot doesn't allow that anymore they decided to start doing three part cases instead.

It was a bit hokey, but so far is one of the more interesting cases in a while, hope it turns out just as well.

I agree that it's the best AO in a while, hands down. Hopefully they don't blow it in the next two parts, but so far it's a lot of fun.

I definitely agree about the dancer in the OP. Yeah, she's cool an all but WTH, you are not only not important to the series you're not even IN the series, so you should NOT be part of the opening! One thing to have actual CHARACTERS run past a sign advertising the singer and the song ("Ichibyo Goto Ni") but quite another to have the singer animated and taking up half the OP....

One could also say that about a certain B'z opening

I didn't care for the animation in that OP all that much either, but in that case it was because they re-used parts of the older animations. And they didn't ANIMATE the B'z, they used actual live video of the performance, which seems less wasteful.
