But you know, they don't really have much excuses to use Shinichi or Shiho. They already did a "prequel" and they already did a "short duration cure by coincidence". Obviously, the writing of these specials are bad, but I doubt they would want to repeat either of these concepts again. They will have to use actual child actors this time! (be it bad or good, we'll have to judge when it comes out)
Of course, if my said prediction is correct, this time they will mainly focus it on Kaito Kid.

The Junpei guy would seem to make a great Shinichi... though the Shiori girl kinda doesn't look like the type to play Ran...

Ran in general isn't a strong character, despite the whole karate gimmick that Gosho gives her as a miserable attempt to cover the rest of her many flaws
