This makes me think that Haibara and a Collar is a good thing.

So you are volunteering? Either Context might be painful. One might be shocking(the first). The Other I guess depends. I guess the real question is what will the army of Haibara Mnd Controlled collars wearers do? And Do we want a World Controlled by Haibara. (Poor Conan. Even in a MCC, it is way to easy to see her telling Conan to sit and then giving him a doggy biscuit. Followed by good boy.)

That's what I feel, too, before the Bourbon arc.
I just can't think of anything to make me sure that Conan keeping secrets about Akai for Ai's sake. It means he did that for his own sake or Akai's sake. Especially if it's true that Okiya=Akai and Conan know that.
Ai clearly show that Okiya make her feel uncomfortable, but Conan just ignore it. And everytime Ai tell him her discomfort, Conan will get annoyed. He really didn't care about Ai's feelings or her well-being like before and it annoy me greatly. And if Ai forgive him easily, just like in Vermouth arc, after she know the truth, I don't think I can still like this pairing.
I think Ran doesn't need to worry about her Shinichi because his character development is already down the drain since Bourbon arc, so she will get her usual Shinichi back.
