Hopefully you find a better workplace soonAnd I had to do a double take on Yuri's Ramen picture. Looked like two broken bowls initially because of the seaweed?

Last week my hard disk died and I had to give my mac book pro to a lab so they can put a new one in. While they kept managed to retrieve most of my data (per my request) all of the softwares and apps I had (Microsoft office, chrome, audacity, etc.) are nowhere in sight. The majority of these apps and softwares were given to me by my college when I enrolled (they were already in the mac when I received it).
My question is if this is normal that I don't see any of these programs and I need to contact my former college for assistance, or do I need to contact the mac lab I gave the computer to and the softwares and apps should have stayed cause I asked them to backup my data?

Funny thing, I remember reading an article in a Polish magazine about the Pompeii and how they were dissoluted while waiting for my turn in the dentist...
