But the shooting scenes were really silly this time :V And I wouldn't hire those mercenaries with such a bad aim. But since it's a movie, I let it pass :x

blame the bad guy for hiring stormtroopers :V

oh, and I have to say, until I realized the bacteria was fake, I sorta expected (due to the whole "it especially affects children" thing) for some plot device to come in, have conan get infected and turn back into shinichi for a bit due to weird unexplained complications.

also, why is it that sato/takagi's first reaction is "kudo is KID?!" instead of "KID disguised as someone else yet again"? I guess Kudo seems like sort of a random person from him to disguise as to them, though.

I noticed that he somehow made 2 soccer balls. I thought he could only make one at a time, or maybe I am mistaken.

Woah!  You're right!  I hadn't noticed that.  I wonder if it's because his belt can actually produce more than one ball and he's just never needed another one before, or Agasa gave him another belt/reloaded his belt off-camera.  Or, more likely, the writers just slipped up.

I pretty much agreed with everyone's cons
I'll just add one more thing 

I just simply DON'T like the fact that Kids' totally LOST about all trap things
Like he should at least able to figure it all out somehow..... 
And there's no big scene about him doing something MAGIC either and I really wait for it T.T

Overall I think it was a great movie.

I'm a bit surprised that no one has said anything about Kids "greatest" theft ever. No smoke, mirrors, magic, blackouts, or tricks. He literally walked up and took the jewel right in front of everyone.
For me that was the funniest part of the entire movie.

It made me think that why didnt the others think why Kaito only untied Rans ropes ?
Well yeah, Ran thought he was Shinichi but the others didnt.
Oh and why didnt the other question Ran when she shouted "Shinichi!" after Kaito jumped out of the window to save Conan.

But oh well...

After 16 years, the same old characters are not that appealing to me

I feel sorry for you considering that the characters are usually the best part of this anime.






CarpetCrawler was right when he predicted this would be a "love it or hate it" movie.

I actually enjoyed all the characters everyone had an important role. Some much less important but nessecary none the less.

The movie was very interesting, but, as a fan of the Shinichi/Ran couple, I found the last scene with Kaito Kid trying to kiss Ran extremely disgusting, as well as the fact that AGAIN the jewel remained to its owners ONLY because Kid voluntarily decided to hand it over. In my opinion, it would have been much more interesting if Conan did actually stop him from stealing it at least once. Otherwise, there is a feeling that Conan always loses to that petty little thief. Really, I could have never imagined that I could wish for a death of a fictional character so strongly as I do now.
