I know, right?
Why they didn't just call the film "Detective Conan Movie 14 - THERE IS A GOAT!" is beyond me. The box office would have agreed with me.

Yep Yep! As for the title....

I'll ask my uncle's grandfather's sister's daughter's grandchild's mother. She's in charge of those things.

The real moral of the story: Don't ever tell Xcomm it would be funny if he did something. (What would that have been, like, pulling a perpetual pofa? D:)

I just watched it (put it off for quite a while) and holy crap that was so good. Easily the most memorable movie in a long while, everything worked perfectly. I can see it not being some people's bag, but I loved it for several reasons.

1) It didn't waste time, everything felt important to the story.

2) Kid's use in this movie was great, I was really really skeptical when the first images came out, but that angel they took really was interesting (And it wasn't a dream as a lot of people were calling back when).

3) The mystery was decent, it had several twist that I didn't see coming, and I'm usually very good at guessing that stuff. Iffy though as that is very specific to the viewer. Not that everything surprised me, it was obvious the stuff was fake when they make a lot about why did they do both. But the twist at the end with the three real masterminds did surprise me, it felt like the movie was about to wrap up and bang! Awesome more action.

4) The action wasn't forced, unlike the BO chopper scene, I wasn't shaking my head going "Really, that's how you're doing this?" I was instead "I know he's going to live, but dang, this is intense anyway."

5) The villains were very original for Conan, sure they are stock for most action series, but here it felt like something new.

6) The Airship didn't blow up/get destoryed, which many people figured would happen as per-cliche.

7) Kid's segment at the end was a very funny way to end the movie, and this first part wasted no time. Some might see it as a fault, They did do a lot of exposition, but overall it was necessary to get to the parts everyone wanted to see.

8) CONAN CAN TAKE SHOTS TO THE HEAD! =P Okay, maybe a con, but that didn't seem explained enough, It seemed to hit him directly but he barely had more than small wound. But still, Throwing Conan out of the window of a freaking airship is probably the best villainous act committed thus far by any bad guy. Even Gin would have been like, "That guy is a jerk." Maybe not, but still.

So yeah, 10/10, This movie impressed me a lot.

Impressive. I agree with all of that, except for the fact KID was a tad out of character. And you forgot to mention the goat. ;D

^Kid wasn't out of character. If you read some of the Magic Kaito manga chapters, you'll see that that's what he's actually like.

Well, not quite. As Kuroba Kaito he's happy to be pervy as all hell (until Aoko got panties with fish pictures on them), but he never let that cross over to Kid.

Totally agree that the guy who thought that throwing a small child out of a blimp was a good idea is a bastard.

Meh, you got to say it was a pretty foolproof way to find out if Kid was aboard the airship, and if so to get rid of him.

My take is that the anime team have, since they decided to animate MK, been trying to slowly blend the two Kaito characters together. Thus why they've been putting him in situations where we can't act his normal cool self he typically has used in Conan.
