I saw the movie 15 when I was in Japan at easter. I also bought load of the movie merchandise.

"To celebrate the 15th anniversary of “Detective Conan: 15 Minutes of Silence“, the official site conducted a survey: Who is the most popular character?

Taking in 30.5% of the votes, Edogawa Conan (Kudo Shinichi) ranked #1 with 27,258 votes. Conan’s rival, Kaito Kid, snatched 2nd place with 19%, and Heiji Hattori, Conan’s best friend and rival, stole 3rd place with 10.8% of the votes.  In 4th place is Haibara Ai with 8.5%. Shinchi’s girlfriend, Mouri Ran, took 5th place with 5.6%, and the rest of the characters had less than 1% in votes.

The poll was conducted from February 18th to March 31st, in which one person was allowed to vote three times, and there were a total of 9,086 applications.

What? Since when is Heiji more popular than Haibara

Since when wouldn't he be? 
Sorry, ever since joining DCTP I've slowly morphed more and more into a Heiji fangirl...

Really? I don't see Heiji being mentioned around here nearly as much as Haibara is, or even Ran for that matter.

That's just because people wanna argue about who Conan's going to be with. 
Truthfully, I'm not sure why.  Although the Heiji fan art thread might have something to do with it...

Yeah, Ran and Haibara being mentioned in polls and their rankings are often used in debates and such as it's the only 'proof' available of 'who is better' or blah blah, but in reality polls don't really mean a thing. xD

Anyway, being serious, I think people just started to really like him or realize they liked him. That's all. It could also be because of his...I wouldn't call them 'rare', but his scattered appearances. "Too much of a good thing is a bad thing" "You don't know what you have til it's gone" all that jazz.

I would say that it is better than some of the other movies, but not one of the strong ones. For instance the action is centred on different parts rather than just having one climax.

I think I definitely would have understood it better with subtitles. My Dad got very confused when we went to see it (it didn't help he fell asleep) because he couldn't understand most of what they were saying.
