There are still slight differences.  It's gotta suck to have already done so much on this movie with water just to have a tsunami hit part of Japan.  Hopefully it wasn't that important to the plot.

And the deadline for the movie to be completed was like 2 weeks after the tsunami hit - during which the studios were under enforced power outages

Even if 50% of the population of Japan died from the tsunami, the movie, if released, would still have the original dam breakage/flood disaster scenes

I agree, but then why would they release a non-dam-breaking trailer?  In all the movies that I can think of off the top of my head, there's always some kind of disaster (of the natural/timed variety) that they have to avoid.  For example...
1) Bombs and the risk of being smushed
2) Drowning
3) Fire
4) being killed (dang it, doesn't fit)
5) More buildings collapsing AND fire
6) crashing on the train
7) Being killed (but that doesn't really go with my theory)
8) Crashing!!!!
9) Drowning
10) Bombs
11) drowning
12) Bombs
13) Being killed (ok, that doesn't fit either)
14) Poison/falling
...They really like bombs and drowning, don't they?  Anyway, the point is, what would the disaster to avoid be if they took the dam breaking out?

You do have a point.  I'm sure the dam busting is key to the plot in some way too.  It is a Conan MOVIE after all.  They have to go BIG or go home.

Oh, I wasn't complaining about all the drowning, bombs, etc.  It's a Conan movie, it's expected.    If it were canon I might have problems, but...
And that's a really good point about the trailer.  I didn't think about that.

It'll never be available in there. But once the DCTP subs is out should be easy to get ahold of one
