It was decent till about a third or halfway through when the script writers seemed to just go "blah" on the paper and then the plot just reversed direction and nothing made sense.

But the villians that masked themselves as Lupin and Fujuko that one time was a pretty hilarious crossover.

Subtle crossovers = awesome. Blatant crossovers mean that they have to square off the often contradictory rules of two universes, and one side or another's going to get shafted as a result. (Just look at any crossover fic. Inevitably, one of the sources is going to be stuck playing by the other's rules.)
