Very much agreed. Also, we couldn't feed the Jonas Failures to Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, could we?

Narnia and (I think) Pirates of the Caribbean are also Disney's. POTC wasn't all that bad, and Narnia........well......it's just like another movie for me, and they are really slow with productions. With more than 2 years between every movie, the little girl character (forgot her name) should be something like 10 or 9 (according to the books), but the actress is now 14 (as far as I'm aware). The Harry Potter films had the same problem, but at least the production of WB was WAY faster.

I never liked Narnia, but the first POTC was brilliant, due largely in part to Jack Sparrow (sorry, Captain Jack Sparrow). I didn't enjoy the sequels as much, though any bit with the Captain in it was brilliant.

I support this idea. :P

The original Pirates movie was pretty good. I don't care much at all for the sequels as a whole - like mangaluva said, there were parts that were good (and I was never into either Johnny Depp or Orlando Bloom like 90% of the female population, so there wasn't even that to look forward to) - and the fact that it looks like they'll be making another kind of annoys me. We knew there would be three, and yeah, it's a big money maker, but they're beating it into the ground. :-\

I saw the first Narnia movie (without ever having ready any of the series other than a small part of Voyage of the Dawn Treader), and wasn't all that impressed, honestly. Haven't seen the second one, don't think I'll see the third.

I blame my not liking it more on that fact that it just wasn't my kind of movie, and that I hadn't read the books, so I didn't really have anything to look forward to with it.

Oh, and I meant to say this about the Sorcerer's Apprentice: yes, I agree that the plot was contrived and the villain wasn't exactly intimidating, but I think that's part of why I liked it. It felt more like a classic Disney movie to me. (Well, okay, to a point. Classic Disney villains were so much more awesome than that!) The plot in and of itself was pure Disney. And I actually really like the main character and Nicholas Cage's character.

Idem PT @Sorcerer's Apprentice.  As for Narnia, I actually quite enjoyed both movies and am looking forward to the third.  I loved the series, of course, though it's been a while since I read it all the way through.

Blue-nii have the complete book series, but I've only read the Dawn Treader, the Silver Chair, and the last one (I forgot the title)

I finally got "The Princess And The Frog" today, which I haven't seen yet. I've heard it's good. Gotta watch it tonight. I hope the songs are good- the songs and the visual sequences with them are often my favourite part of the movies.

The bad thing I found about Narnia is all the battle stuff. The best movies that feature large scale battles are Lord of the Rings, and I think Disney tried to do the same for Narnia, however not only that they tried to copy it, they also did it wrong. I didn't get any great feel from those battles. So what if there were more "tricks" and there were many "unique creatures", that didn't impress me. It also doesn't help that the leaders are mere children.
Maybe because it's a rather "bright" plot that I didn't get any special feel from the battles.

Just recently, i've gotten into a patch of buying movies like crazy. Not just Disney, either. I've got several rapidly-growing stacks of DVDs around my room that I have no place for, yet they keep growing XD

Hmm Disney. That's my childhood right there.

I love most of the Disney movies I've watched. I hate Disney Channel movies, there's a difference there lol.

My favorite Disney movies are the older ones like Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast. I'm a bit of a sucker for fairy tales. I really hope that their newest movie Rapunzel (aka Tangled) won't be stupid. I dislike how they changed the name of the movie because they wanted to attract boys.

Haven't seen Toy Story 3 and I suppose I'll eventually get to it. I've sort of been neutral towards the whole trilogy.
