Disney

Redirected from the "Today's Bad Stories" thread where we were getting badly offtopic  :D

Because c'mon; who doesn't have a beloved few movies out from this lot?

Anyway, where we were:

....yeah. There is that. :-X And it's surprisingly more common in Disney movies than you would think...

You're telling me. Pixar are pretty bad for Getting Crap Past The Radar too. (On rewatching Toy Story: seriously, look at Woody's stupid grin and giggle when Bo Peep suggests getting "someone else to watch the sheep tonight". WTF?)

I loved the classic ones from the 90's below... bar several ones in today's decade, I hate hate HATE the crap they've been cranking out.

Some of the more recent ones, yeah, I can't stand. My absolute favourite it The Lion King, followed closely by Pocahontas, Aladdin and the Aristocats. (The last mainly because of a cute bit of childlike misunderstanding on my part; for a couple of years, I thought "butler" was a curse word, and could be heard to call my brother "you stupid butler!" when angry XDXD)

I think that one of my absolute favorite Disney movies was Aristocats!  XD

Most of the Disney movies actually make me cry more on rewatching than they did as a kid. (Though Mufasa's death has always had me in floods- "Dad? C'mon, dad, wake up. We gotta get home... dad?" :'( :'( :'( )

...... mangluva..... thanks for reminding me....

[Bambi and his mother are eating grass; suddenly she stands in attention]
Bambi's Mother: Bambi. Quick! The thicket!
[they run; a gunshot is heard]
Bambi's Mother: Faster! Faster, Bambi! Don't look back! Keep running! Keep running!
[Gunshot is heard, then silence]

I have never actually seen that movie in full. The only time I've seen it was actualyl fairly recently, and my friends who were watching it with me kept talking over it and making stupid comments. Then turned it off to play Mario Kart. So i've never gotten the full emotional impact of that scene, but it makes me want to cry just imagining it. (Must get the DVD.)
