I'm really quite darned good and nice to people and hate receiving any form of compensation for doing things for others

However, there are a lot of people or things that I "should" care about that I just don't give a crap about - that and I always have a flippant, unfeeling response to whatever atrocity comes up

Example:  09/11/2001 just happened.  I thought, "Yup, it's bin Laden.  I saw that coming a mile away."

my high school had similar awards for the graduating class. I placed pretty highly on the hair and "most likely to succeed" ones, but since I wasn't first I don't remember what place I was.
