I really like Ran too.  She's strong, brave, loyal and smart!  She's figured out that conan is really shinichi at least twice, and it's required a few "deus ex machina" to convince her otherwise.

I can't believe nobody mentioned Sato. She's smart, tough and she chose the awkward but kindhearted Takagi over the charismatic and rich Shiratori. She also has come close to figuring out Conan's secrete and is a good sport when her dates turn into cases or worse...play dates with the Detective Boys.

For looks, my favorite would be Ran, followed by Vermouth. As characters, it is easily Haibara as most of the other females on the show have no depth and the ones that do (Eri and Vermouth) are either too minor or too silly respectively.

reason being --> :] the way she and shinichi talk to each other shows how tough she is XD and i love her 'there is something you won't tell me' look she gives shinichi like a glare like

second would be....shinichi's mom XD she is like :O soooooo different XD compared to the other moms :]

third would be ran's mommy she is so mysterious and so sneaky XD like in episode....200! in the ending she was recording the whole mushy lovey dovey stuff ran's daddy said and kept it for herself! XD rofl
