Monday night I spilled my tea on Spot (my main computer). ~_~* Spot didn't like that and isn't working correctly. ~_~* So now I have him wrapped up in his cord and stuck in the closet. When I mentioned the incident to Mom, she just scolded me about having drinks near my computer. ~_~* Anyone know how to fix a computer that got wet? Archi opened the back up and said that it didn't look like anything had gotten into the circuitry. He left the cover off for most of Tuesday in the hopes that it'd help things dry out, but when I tried to turn Spot on sometime late-ish Wednesday, he wouldn't work. ~_~*
Worst case scenario I yank the hard drive and slave it to another computer and invest in a new computer. Quite possibly a desktop.... I have the netbook for portability.

Rice absorbs the humidity. You should try that, even though it seems unpractical...

I was going to suggest that when I thought that it might not actually work for laptops. People usually use that method for smaller electronics.

Mom said something about rice too, but I'm not sure I want to put rice in my computer... especially since the only rice I have is short-grain stuff, good for sushi. I'd have a devil of a time getting the rice back out again. ~_~* I think Archi looked up ways to fix it....


And now I've done something else stupid. I fell out of bed (or at least off the bed, I wasn't actually under the covers when I fell) and whacked into the door. Slammed my right knee pretty hard, so now it's all black-and-blue (but mostly purple) and hurts a lot. ~_~* Add that to the fact that the other ankle (left) is less than pleased with me, and I'm not up for walking much at the moment....

I had mine out last week. I was fine after 4 days, soreness-wise. My problem was with sleeping... and I still can't open my mouth as wide as I'd like...

Did you have all four out in the one go? They took mine out two at a time with two weeks between them, the two on my left first and then the two on my right, so I always had a side of my mouth I could chew with.

So Spot works again, except that the keyboard is completely shot.
Archi's work cut his hours down by 8hrs, but they did so by shaving a little time off each workday instead of by giving him an extra day off, so it's really just a 20% paycut, which we can ill afford as we were just scraping by as it was.

I hate sleepless nights... They always end up with me overthinking and then the next day dad will ask why I cried... Can't they just smoke at the balcony instead of inside the kitchen so they won't hear me? *goes to get Mozart to cuddle with* T__T

Drove a bit too far into the parking spot at work today. Hit the wire they use to prevent you from going too far, so backed up, and popped my license plate bracket right off the bumper. Now I have to stop at Advance Auto Parts or Mr.Tire or something on the way home since it won't pop back in.

Yeowch... Is a tetanus shot supposed to hurt this much between 36 and 48 hours after the fact? Got a shot on Wednesday around 2pm (I cut my hand on a shelf at Sears Tuesday night). Didn't hurt much at the time, though I was warned it'd hurt more the next day. It did. Now it hurts even worse, so much so that I can barely move the affected arm (my right, because I got a flu shot in the left arm the same day). Barely managed to brush my hair this morning.
Also, summer is fading quickly. I'm rather glad I shut all the windows last night, because it's about 20F or so cooler than it was yesterday.
