I woke up sick. *cries* Before the end of the week I have to teach a buttload of extra classes, take an exam, finish reading two books, and hand in two papers that, for some reason, are UNRELATED to those books. And now I feel bad.

The classes I taught didn't go well today, which always makes me feel like I suck at life.

I fell asleep before I finished my paper last night, so I have to do it today and my fever is getting higher.

I'd make a joke about Spinal Tap and 11, but I'm aware of how much they suck.



As for my much less serious issue, I was given a cookie, which was good, but then I was told that it was my task to hand out the rest of the cookies to people, and that I couldn't have any more.

Then I realized it has soy in it, which I'm slightly allergic to so now my mouth/throat are all weird. It wasn't even that good of a cookie D:

Today, several sections of Intro to Music at the undergrad level. 200 students in each section, so it's hard to do anything but lecture, which sucks. Speakers crapped out on me a third of the way through the first class, which meant no listening examples either. And even for a lecture, my performance today sucked. I kept losing my train of thought and having to correct myself.

It doesn't help that the textbook that we all have to teach to is completely useless (three whole pages on Middle Eastern music and six on African? Awesome!), but we can't complain about that because it was written by a member of the department.
