Because they're stray, they sorta have their skills/whatever honed so they can survive as a stray :3.

Who knows it might carry a mice and run around your house

we've had him for years now, he's insane but it's the lovable type of insane and he knows where to draw the line when play fighting and such

but apparently he probably likes mice.

oh god

so I just went downstairs into the basement to take care of my cats' litterbox. On the way down, I notice what looks like a hairball or some other nasty thing the cat coughed up or something, which isn't too unusual on these stairs. As I'm about to mock the cat for vomming on the stairs, I take a closer look, and it's not cat vomit/hairball at all. Instead, it's a dead baby mouse.

so I dispose of the dead baby mouse, and head back upstairs. Then, on my way up another flight of stairs, something catches my eye.

At the bottom of this staircase is yet another body of a dead baby mouse.

Both of these mice looked young enough that they could possibly have been dead longer than they were ever alive for. And now all I know is that when there's two baby mice, there's probably more. And in this case, they're probably dead, and I have no clue where they would be.

I guess this explains the smell of death I smelled a few weeks ago in the bathroom comin from the vents. 

Last year, I read the plague by Albert Camus. The rats were the first to die (crawling out of the sewers before they stopped moving) before the black plague came (in the book). So... just check to make sure you won't die. Probably won't be that serious though.

he still has all his claws and stuff in, and if you play rough with him he'll scratch and bite at you but he knows what's acceptable so he won't actually hurt you, and if he accidentally does he just stops. He also loves being slid across the floor at high speeds, being pushed on his side, being picked up and spun around and just being rough in general, and is easy to rile up. He's basically a kitten, except he hasn't been a kitten for years.

my other cat on the other hand, if it tries to play bite you it always ends up hurting because she doesn't know how much to actually bite.

That sounds pretty much exactly like my spaz of a cat (the one that attacks non-moving objects, tiny holes in the wall, etc), except on top of all of that, she follows me around the house and meows at me when she wants food or attention. If I'm in my bedroom, she'll sit outside my door and cry til I tell her to shut up or I pay attention to her. She can go from calm to psychotic in about three seconds. And she runs across the house and upstairs at high speeds for no reason at all.

You should be happy you don't have a retarded cat. I have one and it used to sleep with me, with it's claws out. Plus it doesn't stop biting you, and it comes up to your face wanting attention. I have told myself my big brother brings in all the retarded animals. Sadly our vet told us when we first took her there most people would put her down. Oh well, I just live with the retardedness. And that's one of the reasons people have cats, just be glad the cat didn't put it on your bed or something. :/

I hate to cut in but that's exactly what my cousin's dog does too. She cries a lot when I lock her up in the room and runs @ high speeds for no apparent reason. She does that until she's tired before she stops. Lolwhat. |:

He's awesome:). I can totally understand about your other attentionseeking cat. My cousin's dog is like that too. She goes right up to you. Lies down and look at you with those pleading eye. And she just keeps still while you rub her all over. She's so cute so I feel inclined to do so...  Are all females like that?! :s.
