I only have 2 GB and 2 CPUs. 10.52 is completely hyped, consumed one core and slowed the whole system and couldn't display some site, so I downgraded to 10.10. I always hated Firefox, it behaves stupid ways.

You shouldn't. It's not like 4~6gbs are useful to everyone.
Actually, I used to work on a Pentium 4 with 512MB RAM until a year ago.
Then HD video editing and encoding was needed...

I don't think I have enough apps to fill 6GB, but I'm also dying of jealousy Maybe 4GB are just enough so that I don't have worry about RAM

I always use Evaluation version on my winzip. You have to wait until it shows up, and then the download works....don't know if that works for you...

But yea, everyone gave some good advice. I've had those days, where I'm just mad at the world....

Well, if you are currently on 1GB, then another one will be sufficient.
I barely use more than 1GB when no video task is on. Same with CPU power.

Just don't tease about the 3-core AMD Phenom. Because the number of the cores is not even it doesn't mean it's a bad CPU.
