Movie 15, Production Confirmed !!

Would certainly be interesting...

Anyone else find it odd that people are like "Your kidding me, there's another Shrek movie coming out?"
Or that with all the Jason Bourne movies, even Matt Damon jokes about "The Bourne Redundancy"

Yet, DC Is already up to Movie 14 and not a single complaint has been raised by anyone?

I don't find it too odd.  Sure, when I look at Disney movies and wonder, "why in the world are they making another sequel?"

However, those are just movie series.  Anything that happens in series ONLY happens in the movies.  You kind of chose your examples badly.  If you ask me, DC is more like Star Trek.  The movies are based off of a television series and not just stand alone movies.  Both just go on and on and the fandom still willingly and without regret buys its merchandise and goes to see each new movie. 

So no, I'm not surprised.  Both Star Trek and Detective Conan are excellent series and have lasted this long for a reason.

The only good concept I can think of is centering the movie around Haibara, just not involving the B.O. (which would show that the character of Haibara doesn't HAVE to have her tail chased by the B.O. in order to be important)

agree...haibara is a very important character(like Heiji or Kid),i would like to see a movie focused on her for once...
or a movie where Haibara and Conan are in their true forms...
i really wonder how many movies they'll make...

No way, they always find a way to make Haibara seem as the less important character in the movies.
So a whole movie about her will never happen. *Goes to cry in a corner*

And finally

"Haibara's ascension"-The final movie where Ai steals DC from Conan and they make a movie about it. It would be an action/thriller/comedy with many scenes of Conan's humiliation(caused by himself as he tries to stop Haibara from stealing his spotlight).

I MEAN...like the FBI and BO will have those epic battles again. And yeah, important characters related to the plot (who didn't appear in M13), ex. Bourbon, the FBI, etc like what conia said.

Personally, I think M15 is going to be a plain-old murder deduction movie with the usual gang, not something special like the appearance of the BO, FBI, Kid, Heiji, etc.

yeah i agree kinda, now that the big movies are over with they'll go back to normal suspense movies. like movie 12. hopefully another couple paiting too. i want another centered around heiji

How is a friends word a confirmation? unless he works with the movie production?

Usually at the end of the movie, they mention if there's going to be another one for the following year.  It's been done that way for years.

I'm going to see movie 14 tomorrow, if possible, and going to what they consider the "late show" (anything past 6 pm) so that I can get a discount.  Could save me an extra 200 yen if I'd have gone tonight (women get a discount on Wednesdays, but was too tired to make the trip out there).

Anywho, I'm not surprised that it's getting a 15th movie seeing as how the anime and manga is still considerably far apart.

Edit: Just read what others wrote.  I agree, a movie focused around Ai would be great!  I would still like something where it's mostly just her and Conan without Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta around.  I don't mind their characters, but I like when Ai and Conan can get into more plot-related discussions.

I don't know. What if Gosho actually does a Haibara ark in the manga. I dont want a movie based on her to &$@# up the way people perceive Haibara

like the way in Pokemon when Ash meets legendary pokemon and his pokemon has epic battles with them and makes me that his pretty cool and has kick ass pokemon but then when I see the show I realize his pokemon suck and he's a complete dumbass

I'd much rather a FBI case with them trying to bust some incredibly smart evil mastermind and Conan and Haibara help them out by being undercover agents and then they can look as cool as they do in my siggy

Your right I've notic this as well.  >:(  Haibara need a chance in the spot light for once!!
She just as inportant as Conan,Heiji,Ran or KID.
People should try to put her more in the movies.
