Well I was bored and decided to re-watched all the episodes regarding the Black Organization.

After reaching the Clash of Red and Black Arc in episode 499 12:00-12:02 the way Akai grab Conan's cellphone was not normal.

Maybe this will answer some of the questions regarding why Akai is not dead, and the plans of Conan and Akai etc.

I liked this thread much more when I thought "akai is a cat" was the original title. Because apparently the way cats grab cell phones is not normal.

I also took it to mean a silly theory of Akai not being dead because he had 9 lives.

Whoa, I didn't even think that far! I only related it to the way Akai took Conan's cell, but even then I was doubtful, because Akai certainly didn't take it in a way a cat would (as far as a cat could do it of course ).

Sooooo ... what are we actually supposed to be discussing in here? The ways cats grab cellphones? The mysterious life-saving protection a mobile phone gives to the one who takes it? Or the future plans between Conan and Akai? (fangirls, try to keep yourselves in check please)

Haibara wasn't too far off the mark when she speculated that Akai was a lolicon.  She just got her genders mixed up.
