my english is bad and I KNOW that there should not be a to in there. also I have never heard a native speaker put a to in there or say you need not know. it just sounds wrong. you don't need to know is correct

my english is bad and I KNOW that there should not be a to in there. also I have never heard a native speaker put a to in there or say you need not know. it just sounds wrong. you don't need to know is correct

"You don't need to know" is correct. But also is "need not to know". It's just a flowery way of speaking that few to no native speakers use anymore, but just because it is uncommon does not make it grammatically incorrect. As a native speaker I find it flowery but not wrong. I would speak like that if I was speaking like Shakespeare, who used inversions like that frequently for poetic effect.
