My first shiny a Surskit. My next shiny that I caught at 3 am in the morning, a Geodude, that I almost killed cause it freaked me out it was gold. Training when you should be asleep is bad. :X

I have a Shiny Mew that my friend traded me. Given how he used to Gameshark the crap out of his gameboy games, I'm a bit dubious about its origin, but eh, it hasn't done anything bad to my game. And it's my BABY. Seriously, he traded it to me at level 1, and now i've trained it all the way to level 100 *huggles her shiny blue Mew baby*

Definitely fake/sharked.  The lowest level you can get is either 5, 10, or 30 (I forget which of those the event Mew comes at).

Thought so. It hasn't done anything to my game so I use it a lot ingame, but if I ever get into online battles or contests or anything, I've trained up an Alakazam and the event Jirachi to use as substitutes, depending if there's a legendary ban or not.

I ran from a shiny Wingull once. I was not happy when I realized a second too late that it had green stripes on it's wings and not blue.

Well, I run into a green Zubat in the Dark Cave playing Silver. Less valuable shiny pokémon? Probably, after so much "Wild ZUBAT appeared!", it is a matter of time till encoutering one.

also, it's been ages since I've played pokemon, but in the games weren't the Team Rocket uniforms originally black? So really, Jesse/James being in black doesn't really isn't that big a change to me imo.

Guessing, because the grass-starters final evolution looks like that, although imo it looks more like a Seviper breed.
